Another Flawed Unit.......2007-09-24
Just as the above reviewer, my unit failed after about 2 months. I don't think it is worth the hassle of the $12 return to Coby, except in principal.
Do not buy this junk, unless you only need to use it a few times, then plan on tossing it.
Stopped working after 2 months, $12 fee to fix.......2007-07-13
This player stopped working after 2 months of very light use. The warranty is 3 months, but you have to ship the DVD player back to Coby and include a $12 money order to cover the shipping back to you. They will promise to ship you another unit in 4-6 weeks. So if you are willing to spend around $20 along with the hassle of getting the broken unit on its way back to Coby, you can spend the next couple of months hoping they actually send you a functional replacement which will last more than a few weeks.

Corsair Voyager GT 8GB Flash Drive.......2007-11-29
I bought this flash drive for its 8gb capacity, there is a 16GB unit with blue grips but it does not have the high speed rating that the GT has. I tested it using HD Tach and found the speed to be slower than the ratings but still faster than most of the other drives out there. I run a ton of portable apps on the GT with no problem. I plan on trying out Ubuntu on the drive but I need to research a bootloader menu app first.
Flash Voyager GT 8GB.......2007-11-12
Good combination of speed and space makes the extra $ for the GT version worth it. Applications snap on the GT compared to my previous USB device (on my previous flash drive they were barely usable). Space gives me enough room for all my portable applications and data, including my full website with backup. I can now leave the laptop home much more often with access to computers that allow USB drives to run. (I use it regularly on 2 XP machines and 2 Vista machines without noticing any differences other than how Auto-Run starts)

So far this small piece of equipment has been great. Because of movie clips etc., I had to move up from a 1GB flash drive. The Corsair did the trick.

I already had an 8GB flash drive but I read reviews that said this one was pretty much the fastest you could buy. I didn't do extensive testing, but it is 3 times faster than my other drive with large file copies. If you have Vista, though, forget about fast file copying with any device, stick with Windows XP.

I need to be able to carry stuff between home and work. And preferably to actually run stuff from my flash drive. My software was WAY too slow on other USB drives, but this one offers not only space, but also such speed that it's a joy to use. Still not as fast as the hard drive, but close enough that it's not irritating the way the other ones were. I rate this very highly.
