I've had this product a little under a year.The dvd is working properly, but the tv has stop working, What could be the problem.Product#PL510T.

Picture is great, sound is lousy unless hooked up to H-phones or other sound equipment...The Lid/DVD door was (at first) slightly warped but as time went by it seems to have flattened out.... it had no effect on the unit's playing ability so I didn't return it..I thought the unit could have been less expensive........
Excellent Portable DVD player.......2006-11-17
In the five months since we purchased this DVD player it has been on one month-long overseas vacation, several long car trips and has had one 3' fall off a hotel bed. Our preschoolers provide it with general abuse on a regular basis. So far we have not had a single problem, not even after the fall off the bed.
Our main reason for purchasing this player was to watch DVD movies, and for that purpose it is excellent. The DVDs do not skip. The picture and sound qualities are great, and there is also great sound when using headphones.
While overseas we tried to view digital photographs off a DVD, and the results were very poor. This is definitely NOT the player for that.
However, for our intended purpose, we can highly recommend this player. We would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Bought this DVD for my husband for father's day and it has turned out to be a mixed blessing. He loves it and watches DVDs till all hours. The unit works perfectly, the screen excellent for his over 75 eyes, and we are well satisfied!

Am happy with everything about this player except that for the money spent, I would have expected better support for DVD+R DVD-R media. Granted, that feature isn't listed in the technical description, so the mistake is mine.

Boots MacBook Pro 2.4 w/Intel Dual Core Chip.......2007-11-02
Mac fans will appreciate that this is a Mac-friendly company product. Mac OS X Leopard has Time Machine, and, while not quite perfected, still allows for incremental (hourly) back-ups--but does NOT yet produce a bootable back-up. I use this unit with SuperDuper! (currently Tiger-compatible with Leopard coming soon) to run Tiger while I migrate to Leopard. Not all of my Tiger version apps work with Leopard--most disappointingly, my Epson Printer Utility.
Of interest, I was able to create a bootable (FW 400) Tiger (10.4.10) complete clone on this product from a Maxtor USB back-up external drive (with an intact clone of my Tiger Mac HD) using SuperDuper, then DiskWarrior (41) and finally the Tiger MBP install disk - Disk Utilities Permissions Repair. This is contrary to recommended practice in that running Permissions Repair from the OS Install Disks not usually wise with later iterations of OS X versions--e.g. 10.4.10. At first, I could not boot from this unit. But, after running the two utility apps, voila!, my fully functioning Tiger desk top appeared. Now I can get to that pesky Epson Printer Utility to check printer ink levels--whew! FW 400 is not a speed demon, but it does what I need as my second back up external drive and this unit is attractive and attractively priced.

Quiet drive, don't even know it's running. Very fast. I use it for my iPhoto library. Wonder if there's any way to turn the white light off though---it can be a nuisance at night and I'm assuming it will burn out at some point???

The hard drive on my PowerBook G4 has failed twice in the last six months. I know, I know... it's time for a new computer. But I am excessively fond of this laptop. In any event, I came to the realization that the hard drive will fail again and probably soon so it was time to get an external.
The G-Drive was an excellent choice for me. Not only does it match my laptop but it's fairly quiet, doesn't get hot and it's fast. I can watch video files from this external and there's no stalling at all. Using this hard drive is very easy. You just plug in and go... It took about 20 minutes to transfer the 17GB of files from my laptop to the external through the firewire cable. More than that though, it is specifically formatted for a Mac out of the book. Finally! A company that has it's priorities right.

This was one of the best purchases made in the last year. It was so simple to set up with my IMAC. I used carbon copy cloner and made an exact copy of my whole computer. It backs ups every day.

Just got it today. It's solid. It's quiet (no fan). It's cool (temperature-wise and appearance wise). It comes formatted for Macs (G-Tech has its priorities right), but can be reformatted for PC's. It has an all brushed-aluminum exterior that looks far better than the Porsche-designed LaCie (wow did LaCie blow some money there). And it has a 2-year factory warranty. Only drawback is that it comes with no backup software. But I just plugged it into my Intel MacBook, and was able to start transferring files immediately and easily.
