Uncompatible DVD Player.......2006-03-21
Unfortunately, I was led to believed this DVD Player was compatible for my TV. However, it was not. Therefore, I'm unable to use it making me unable to know how it will work. So, be sure to find out if this DVD Player is compatible with your TV, prior to buying it.
The 1 star is based on fact I can't use the DVD Player, not on how it may work.

Astonishing again!.......2006-03-16
The 2 previous reviews are right: this is a gem of a DVD player at a very modest price. It plays absolutely everything! I have a collection of DVDs from a mail-order correspondence course that are in uneven condition, resulting in lots of skipping across chapters, stalling, etc. That was on my Zenith DVB216--at several times this price, I might add. I was very frustrated with those problems, so I bought this player for Xmas--and it works like a charm. Absolutely flawless tracking. You could put an Oreo in this thing & it would play it! The remote is intuitive & easy to use, the on-screen displays very helpful and unobtrusive. I especially like the quick replay--it backs up about 10 seconds a pop, which is useful in watching DVD classes. The only blemish is that it does not have bevelled edges or finger-grips on the tray for inserting/removing disks (another review commented on this--a minor annoyance). I like it so much I've considered buying two! Highly recommended.
Great DVD player for the money.......2006-03-15
I looked at several of the DVD players offered up on Amazon and settled on this one. I'm glad I did! The key thing for me was the ability to play DVD-R discs and this player does that in spades. This player replaced my first DVD player, which was bought about 5 years ago. Needless to say, the picture on this one is way better than the one I had before.
Nice, simple, quick setup. Remote is easy to understand.

I purchased this player based on its Amazon reviews, especially the good marks for ease of use and reliability for the price. It lives up to these reviews, including the one drawback of the awkward design of the disk tray. I'm a happy user.

Does what I wanted.......2007-07-09
I wanted a thumb drive that would support no-fuss encrypted partitions, and that's just what I got. Allocate anything from 32MB to the whole stick as a partition, name it, give it a password and a virtual drive letter, and you're done.
I've used it on Windows XP and 2000 Pro without incident.
I deduct one star for some options I'd like to see in the GUI. For example, one can automatically explore the mounted drive when the password is given, or automatically ask, but there's no option to do nothing. There's also no "mount all favorite drives" option as in, for example, TrueCrypt.
Still, for carrying around highly personal information without worrying about what happens if I lose the stick, this is just what I wanted at a fair price.
CAUTION! .......2007-06-21
I have a document, encrypted with this product, and now I cannot decrypt it. I called Lexar, they said they'd email me software to fix the problem. How long with that take, I asked. Thirty minutes, I was told. It's 28 hours and counting now. I sent them an email, too. No response yet. Buy this product if you want to keep yourself from seeing your own documents! Good luck
Follow-up: Lexar emailed a link to new software which remedied the problem, about 36 hours after they said they would. The problem appears to have been the user's (i.e., my) deletion of what appeared to be an empty folder labeled "vaults" that comes on the device.

Security software does NOT autostart.......2007-03-04
If it doesn't bother to you browsing inside the jumpdrive and starting the security software manually before you can see your secured files, then it's OK. In fact, I think that no secure jumpdrive in the market can do that right now.
