Enjoy the best of both worlds with crisp, vivid movie playback and recording capability with the Sylvania DVR90DEA DVD recorder/player. The recorder's built-in NTSC TV tuner and onscreen user interface permits up to eight timer recordings over a one-year period, with its six DVD recording speeds providing between one and 10 hours of content on a single-sided 4.7 GB recordable DVD (DVD-R/RW discs only). You can even select and compile the best footage to commit to disc: the recorder's handy editing features include auto playlist creation, project titling, title deletion and editing, and scene deletion.
In addition to DVD movie and CD audio playback capabilities, the ZRY-316 is also compatible with playing content from CD-R/RW and DVD-R/RW discs as well as CDs burned with MP3 digital audio files. Content compatibility includes MP3 and WMA digital audio and JPEG digital photos, as well as the ability to view photo slide shows with background music from disc.
You can easily set a recording time as you prefer. Every time the REC button pressed during recording, the recording time will be increased by 30 minutes up to 4 hours. The recording automatically stops when the recording time you set is reached. You can confirm the picture quality for recording in the current recording speed which you set. If you want to change the recording speed, press REC SPEED button to set the desired recording mode.

Gread DVD recorder.......2007-08-21
This DVD Recorder worked great right out of the box with 16x DVD-Rs and 16x DVD-RWs. Good quality video usually gets 4 hours to a disc. I cycle 3 DVD RWs and can record shows and TV movies for watching later. TV tuner is great.

Records to all brands (and speeds) of blank dvd-r or dvd-rw discs that I have tried so far. Playback picture quality is good when recorded at 2 or 4 hour speeds. This machine doesn't have a dv input for best recording from a mini-dv camcorder but the camera can be connected using the other inputs and then edited (delete scenes, make titles) in VR mode. But, if I needed to edit and copy home movies, I would just do that on the computer. I use this machine as a vcr replacement to record from the built-in tv tuner. It handles this job just fine.

Wonderful dvd recorder dvd-r's only so cheaper then dvd+r's which is wonderful- works like a champ so far so good... ONLY PROBLEM WAS HOOKING IT UP - sylvania said to hook up both the coaxial cable and the component cables (red yellow and white) told them it was stupid to hook up both - and useless - she said buy a rf modulator - so just buy 1 to start with if ur tv doesnt accept component hook up's
DVD's skipping!.......2007-05-12
Maybe it's too early to tell. I recorded some Hi-8 camcorder tapes onto DVD's just fine with this product, but have yet to figure out how to convert them on the computer to a format with which I can edit the video into clips with my computer's video editing software. The problem is, after about a month of use as a DVD player, some of my kids' DVD's are all garbled and un-playable! They work fine on our other DVD players and the problem doesn't happen with all our movies, just some of them. It's frustrating. I'm going to try to get a head cleaner, but I am afraid this is a problem with the DVD player since it is brand new and should not have to be cleaned. I have another DVD player that is probably five years old, never had a head cleaning, and works like a charm. So, I give this one three stars.

I take it everywhere with me. Lots of storage space on something quite small. Is truly the size of my thumb :)
For added security when I travel I save all my files to the thumb drive instead of on the laptop hard drive. You never know when the laptop will crash or otherwise become unavailable. The use of the thumb drive provides an additional back up on any computer with a USB port.

Very good price. Quality is below average quality. The clip broke within 1 week. The casing seams very light duty. Wouldn't buy it again for a kid or teenager. Okay for adults. Can't beat price.

This Flash drive has worked with almost zero problems with every computer I've encountered so far (and when it didn't work, unplugging and replugging it into the USB slot was enough to fix it). Also, just this morning, I accidentally kicked it when it was plugged into a computer: the green plastic came off and the chip was left plugged in. The plastic snapped right back on and the drive still works flawlessly. Best $23 I've spent in quite some time.

This tiny flash drive is fast on both read and write speed. Highly recommended. However, the description said there is a write-protect switch, which I was not able to find. That's why I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5.
