Region Free and Pal Support.......2007-10-12
I bought the DVD player as second player next to my Sony for the single purpose of being able to play my European DVDs (Region Code 2, PAL) with it.
The DVD quality for regular RC1/NTSC is not very impressive and I would not recommend it just for this purpose, but if you have to play foreign DVDs and don't want the hassle, this DVD player is the way to go.

a great dvd player, and favorite for us who worked on cruise ships, and bought a dvd from a guy selling first run movies in turkey, or borrowing one from a friend from south africa. i had my first one for about five years until i left it on pause for a month. not, as cheap as i got it before but would pay more.
Has its limits.......2007-09-20
My friend and I both have the same Cyberhome dvd player. My player plays almost all PAL DVD's but we both had this set of DVD's from Greece. My player would NOT play them... either my set or my friend's set. His player played both sets.
I tried and tried.. nothing worked. And with the company out of business, there is no solution.

It is the best thing I bought so far. Very promising product. Reads all types of CD,DVD,MP3s. It is indeed a region free dvd player because it reads any CD/DVD. I recommend this product highly and its worth buying.

I finally decided to purchase this DVD player after searching many other DVD players. I needed a region free one for me to watch DVD from Japan. Except the fact shipping and handling was little bit expensive and it didn' t have good tracking system, the item FINALLY arrived and just little bit confusion, I was able to change the setting to region free. It has been working good ever since. I would recommend this items to everyone who is needing region free DVD player.
