Great Player but don't forget the filters!.......2006-01-17

This player basically automatically fast forwards the movie for you so you can avoid all the bad scenes (eg. sex, violence, gore, etc.) without really noticing it doing anything different. It's like the bad scenes never existed.

It's a great, wonderful, and super technology that I wish I had thought of years ago.

However, if you buy this player, it will come with several DVD "Filters" so that you can watch many movies filtered. BUT, say a new movie comes out like Karate Kid 43 and you don't want to see the bad parts, you will have to buy the filter for that movie from ClearPlay for a little more. That goes for every movie you buy that comes out after the CD was burned for your player. That, or you can buy a whole year from them for about $80.

If you want to avoid this extra fee for at least a year, visit http://www.ClearPlayDVD.com and order the player directly from Clearplay. It might cost a little bit more for the player but you get a years worth of filters for free and you'll be glad you have them when it comes to watch a movie you just bought or rented.

Poor Switch.......2007-08-10

This switch worked for about 1 year and quit. When it did work there were times that the network seemed to stop functioning. Our new router has eliminated the periodic network stopages and has taken up where this switch left off.
