I have this and Bluray. Both a good. I have no complaints, this is a better pc of equipment than the Panasonic Bluray I have. Also, Toshiba sends you the firmware updates.Panasonic requires downloading and burning to a CD. I hope HD wins, but bet they both survive.
The power of WOW...........2007-11-30
This Panasonic is the only player out there that has the best reputation and had managed to avoid many of the defunks. I bumped into this by accident and didn't really know what kind of machine this was going to be to me. I knew it was Blu and heard it was probably the better format choice, but after watching Fantastic 4 on it. WOW, WOW,and another WOW. It even upconverts SD DVDs, they look WOW. Yeah that's what she said. SO if you are doing research and can go for a higher priced player, go and be WOWED. The new BD30 is also a great choice and I will get that when I'm ready for the next Gen Blu DVD's. I have been reading up on the tech specs of this player vs. HD DVD choices in the same price range and I now fully understand the superior processing power of this machine. You won't be disapointed by this player. It process the image inside and steams it out at the 60 fps before it even goes to your TV. With other choices your TV is the one that does this 3:2 drop down and/or deinterlacing of the digital image/signal. WOWEEEE!
Excellent Blu-ray Player.......2007-11-28
I've had this player for a month and we love it. No problem. It is a little slow loading the disk, but averything else is soooo good. We had some friends over last week with their report on their trip to Italy. We watched their home made still and movie pictures on CD with nno problems. Very good product.

The Quality is excellent and it's easy to use. The only problem I have is the remote doesn't have an open or load button on it.
Best Blu-ray Player out........2007-11-24
Probably the best Blu-ray currently available. Stay away from Samsung and Sony players. I would recommend this player, but if you need profile 1.1(PiP menu support) or 24p(fps)video input support wait for the new Panason BD30 player that will be availabe very soon. Otherwise this offers the best Picture and Sound quality among the rest of the current players and is one of the fastest loading ones to date.

I had trouble using Broadcom NetXtreme (b57xx) with Norton Ghost. And this card fixed the problem. 3com is a standard nic, and the driver often works with "Intel 100 Pro (E100B)" nics too.
Outdated Garbage.......2006-04-13
This card will not operate under any version of Windows Server, and per 3Com is not supposed to work under Windows XP (though one is working on my XP box). Outdated garbage. Should be tossed out, not sold to unsuspecting buyers.
