Great item and price!.......2007-12-31

Great beginner's GPS. I have a high end Garmin and needed another one for my second car. Rather than getting another high end one, I decided on the Mio b/c of features and price.

Good product, have had no problems and it's pretty accurate. I'd recommend it for the low hundred dollar range. Amazon's price was the best that I had found at the time.

Got this as a gift. Works very well. Only problem I have found is that it can take several minutes to acquire the GPS sats. Beyond that, the interface is easy to use, the maps are stored on a removable card, so if you need to update you dont have to worry about attaching the device to your PC and installing drivers. Very useful device!

Great and accurate GPS navigation system for the price.......2007-12-28

I have owned Mio C220 for more than a month. I have no major complains on this device so far. It is very easy to use and the route calculation was faster than Garmin or TomTom according to my observations. The C220 was able to recalculate the route when you miss the original planned route, this feature is a major plus point. The LCD touch screen is fast and responsive and I like the QWERTY keyboard format to input address while the Garmin has ABCD telephone format which is difficult to input. You can drag or move the 2D map using your fingers easiely. The device is light weight and it can fit in most of the pockets. The LCD screen bright enough for mounting on the windscreen/dashboard for navigation. I found the navigation was very accurate and dead on. It comes with a car charger but no home or wall charger. I have been using my Motorola RAZR wall charger to charge my C220 at home and it works. My only complain is that not too many accessories are available for C220 and lack of full support to its update software for Macs. Otherwise C220 scores much higher than TomTom.

We bought the system in Summer, had it for 6 months now and used it everywhere. We used it to find train stations in NJ, Used it to find points of interest in New York City (pedestrian mode), We gave it to guests to find their hotel (beats giving directions), used it all over Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, system is solid, maps are accurate. It reroutes quickly if you miss a turn/detour. If you have a RAZR or blackberry or any other USB powered device you can charge the MIO with the same charger. Best of all its cheap! Downfalls: volume could be louder, it doesn't say street name when turning, but does show it on the screen.

Alternate Uses.......2007-05-19

I bought this case as a cheaper alternative to a case for my photo gear (light stands, tripod, backdrop stand, soft boxes, boom, cords, etc.)

The quality of this case is great. It fits all of my stuff perfectly. It is well padded and the seams look strong. I'm using it for more weight than the telescope it was designed for, so I've made a webbing "basket" that surrounds the case. I made straps that come directly off the "basket".

I don't like the straps that come on the case. They are too long to carry the case like a suitcase; and they're too short to put over your shoulder like a suit bag. They're also off center, most likely due to the off center telescope the case was designed for. But this no longer effects me as I have made my own straps, and put them right where I want them.

Overall, I think this is a very well designed, and well made bag. I think the price is fair, and Orion seems like a good company to me. A good product at a good price delivered quickly, what more can I really ask for?
