Customer Reviews:
Great concept, poor execution.......2007-12-31
I purchased this phone from Amazon in June. I just sent it in to the Panasonic service center this week, because it had become unusable. It's been replaced by another phone, so it probably won't go back into service after it's been repaired.
Problems we had:
* All buttons on the base unit stopped working after about 3 months. We kept using the phone, since we could play back messages from the handset.
* After about 6 months, caller ID stopped working. Handsets would no longer display or announce the incoming caller.
* At about the same time as the caller ID failed, we would sometimes see incoming calls cut off after a single ring. Callers complained that they heard a "fax machine noise" and were disconnected.
At that point we had no choice but to buy another phone and send this one in for repair.
Other annoyances:
* After any call, ALL handsets displayed "missed call" - including the handset that answered the call. This is an annoying bug in the phone's software, though I couldn't get Panasonic to confess to that.
* The GIGARANGE utility included with the phone (used to load pictures and ringtones onto the handsets) installs in "start when Windows starts" mode, which means that if you have Windows XP in "switch user" mode, the second user gets a complaint that GIGARANGE can't start.
* The phone *may* have caused interference with my 802.11g home network. I can't say for sure, but our laptop would occaisionally drop its connection to the wireless network, and that hasn't happened since I packed up the phone last week.
So enough complaints. Things I liked:
* Large, clear display
* Talking caller ID is great, though it does have the limitations noted in other reviews (it will announce the name as provided by the phone company, even if the number is in the phone's address book and has another name assigned)
* The ability to load pictures and ringtones is nice, but not as compelling as I expected it to be
* Voice quality was good, though I must say that I've had better. The Uniden DECT phone we bought to replace this phone has excellent clarity.
Overall I wouldn't buy this again, and the experience has lowered my opinion of Panasonic phones.
phone dies.......2007-11-23
We got a replacement phone, but it does the same thing...just cuts out in the middle of a call. The camera we purchased with it (the reason we got it) works ok, but I would never buy them again.
Caller ID and Custom Name Display.......2007-11-22
When you receive a call from someone whos' number is in your phonebook, the caller ID displays the caller's name as it is sent by the phone service carrier, not as it is stored in your phonebook. For example: the display will read "Verizon Wireless" instead of the name of the caller as it is stored in your phonebook. The talking caller ID works the same way. There are other Panasonic phones that offer a "Custom Name Display", and will display and speak the name as it is stored. Why didn't Panasonic put this feature into this phone? This would be the perfect phone if this feature were included.
These phones are all cheaply made.......2007-10-18
I bought this phone and for a few months it worked great! Then in March, 2007 the hand set just did not work anymore. The painting on the buttons started comioing off, fading away and we hardly used it. The handset looked like crud. I called cutomer service. Reception was horrible as I was talking overseas (like every othe company). I am irritated with Panasonic's warranty policy which states that the customer has to flip the bill for shipping to a service center to get it looked at and possibly replaced. I think this is unfair business practices and I will make sure to seek out companies who stand by their products and their mistakes. No more Panasonic for me for now. I have wrote this as an email to their customer service. I will be interested on how they respond if at all.
Panasonic Phone.......2007-07-18
This phone is everything it says it is. We havne't even checked all the features as yet, just the ones we need. The loudness is great, and very much adjustable. We love it . . .

Product Description
This versatile filter acts like a dimmer switch for your telescope, toning down the brightness of the Moon or planets to a level that is comfortable. The reduction in brightness and glare unmasks detail in your viewing subject and greatly improves contrast. The filter consists of two high-grade glass polarizing filters in a rotating cell that allows you to adjust the amount of light transmission from 1% to 40%. Such control is highly desirable for lunar observing because the Moon's brightness varies with its phase. The filter is great for terrestrial observing too, especially on sunny days. The filter has an anodized aluminum cell, which threads into the barrel of any standard eyepiece. Now available in 1.25" and 2" sizes. Storage case included.

Quality filter for the price.......2007-11-18
Comes in two pieces that the user threads together prior to threading onto the EP. Easy to use. Priced appropriately for the quality. A must have for lunar and planetary observation.
amazing.......2007-01-10
I was surprised at how much of a variation this filter provides. Really tops my old moon filter.
Excellent, easy, great value filter.......2006-03-15
I'm a novice astronomer and about 6 months ago purchased an Orion IntelliScope XT10 (great scope, see my review of it). I love looking at the moon but it's so excessively bright in this scope. I'm a big fan of Orion's products, and their service is the absolute best, so when looking to purchase a filter I decided to go for this one. It's only 2 pieces, very easy to assemble and attach to any 1.25" eyepiece. It's also great how you can vary the brightness from near maximum to very dark. Makes viewing the moon a WHOLE new experience. Brings out more detail and eliminates the eye pain. Once again, Orion has made a very satisfied customer out of me!
Orion Variable Polarizing Filter.......2005-02-16
When looking at the moon through a telescope larger than 6 inches or so, you need something to cut down on the excessively bright moon. This filter allows you to vary the amount of light coming through the eyepiece, and adjust it to a comfortable level. I'll never sell mine.

The Q2300 router makes low-cost broadband services practical for business. Until now, business-class routers have been expensive and overly complex to set up and use, while consumer level DSL and cable-modem routers have lacked business-quality monitoring, control, and security capabilities. The Q2300 router changes all this by combining the features of an IP router, QoS appliance, IPSec VPN appliance, firewall, and Ethernet switch into one easy-to-use network access device.
