This DVD player is excellent for computer people who want to play back their cd's or DVD's that have Divx / Xvid encoded files. Flows smoothly and even presents a menu list of what the titles are providing the file was named on the computer. I have been able to cram up to 35 hours of Xvid encoded video (with great compression) onto a regular DVD-R or DVD-RW! Three thumbs way up!! (I'm a martian)
Good DVD player for bedroom use.......2007-08-12
I was pleasently surprised with this DVD player. It was affordable, easy too hook up and easy to adjust the settings. I have it hooked up with component cables to a 15 inch lcd hdtv and the picture looks great in 480P. The only problem I had was with the DVD of Ladyhawk, instead of going straight to the DVD menu, it plays the movie automatically. I can't even go to the menu afterward....weird... But all other dvd's I tried work great. I also use it as a regular CD player, but I wish it had some sort of screen saver that would turn on during long plays (but since I use a lcd tv, I'm not really worried). Overall a good buy for a secondary room, like a bedroom or study.

I returned this product shortly after purchasing at Walmart. It dvd tray was made of cheap plastic and hung out very loosely. I do not think the product is meant to last more a year at best if used often and gingerly. It plays divx files on cds very well, but had problems with divx files on dvds. It is

I understood this phone was a 'rebuilt' and accepted it as I felt it would be 'better than new'. Was not. Messages coming in were either garbled or fading in-and-out. Both extremely annoying and unacceptable. Not a happy camper.

I have three handsets and have programmed different ring sounds for each one,e.g., then one in my home office rings with the Three Stooges singing, "Hello, hello, hello!"

I'm not sure if the previous reviewer has a different model or not but there is indeed a flash button. Once you are on a call is the left menu button on the LCD screen. Those who are quite familiar with cell phones will spot it quickly.
I haven't had the phone for more than a day but so far i'm fairly happy. It took a while to find a phone with all the features that I needed but this has them all.
Pros:
1) Base station with speaker phone (hate it when i can't find the cordless)
2) a MUTE button! Very few phones have this these days but it is very important for my home office.
3) 5.8 GHz that won't conflict with my wirless.
4) cell phone like features (customizable ring tones, phone book, "missed calls list")
Cons:
1) The caller ID isn't very smart, even if you have the number stored in your phone book it still shows/says the name that is given over the callerId resulting in a lot of "Cellular Caller" type of stuff.
2) The center rocker switch activates the menu instead of the phone book. This time cell phone users will find this counter-intuitive.
3) No handset speed dial. There is one for the base, but one not the handset.
NO FLASH BUTTON ON HANDSET!.......2006-04-08
I bought the KX-TG5571 and an extra handset after being so pleased with it's
predecessor KX-TG5471.
The 5571 handset does not have a FLASH BUTTON!
What you have to do instead is press the speakerphone button, wait for
options to appear on the screen and then press a different button to
access the FLASH function and there is NO WAY to figure that out while
looking at the handset.

The product may have been good but I will never know. I forgot to do the recommended 12 hour charge before use. When you receive a new battery it will show as fully charged but it is not actually ready for use. I think that I may have killed mine.

I purchased 2 of these batteries and received them in a timely manner but they were bulging and would not fit into the phone so I returned them and exchanged them for 2 others. I just received them yesterday and put them in the phone. One works just fine but the other will not charge, so I am going to have to exchange that one again.
