Pros & Cons.......2007-12-20
I haven't found an "end all be all" dual screen portable DVD player, so we purchased this one from Sam's Club for $179. Our thoughts...
Pros:
1) Easy to use and install.
2) Picture is good.
3) Looks sleek.
4) Remotes work well from the front seat.
5) Like that both units have the DVD player built into the machine. (vs having to use cords to connect the player to the screens)
6) Works well plugged into the house AC unit and in the car.
7) Works well with each unit playing the same DVD or each playing a
separate DVD.
Cons:
1) The plug that connects the 2 units to view the same DVD on both
machines is quite short. We had to keep our 2 car seats side by side
and the cord BARELY connects the one machine on the back of the driver's
side headrest to the machine behind the baby seat on the driver's side. The cord is not long enough to have the kids sitting next to each window with one facing forward while the other faces backwards.
2) It does not come with a carrying case. I'm not sure how they expect
you to keep all of the cords from getting lost???
3) It does not include a battery pack. It is $40 extra and must be
ordered through customer service. 866-578-0101
What a Life Saver!.......2007-12-03
I bought this DVD Player after our first one broke. We were in the middle of a 15 hour drive down to GA. Two kids (3 and 1) in the back seats with no movie, NIGHTMARE! Within a few days of being in GA I went and bought these DVD players. AMAZING! The price was perfect, and they are wonderful quality! I love the fact that you can use them together or separately! Makes them that much better! I absolutely LOVE these DVD players and I HIGHLY recommend them!

I also purchased at Sam's for $179, and have been very happy with the performance and ease-of-use in the car. There are wires that have to connect between the units on each headrest, so it's not the cleanest installation, but definitely effective. The lack of a battery pack does limit the use on planes or trains, though. I may try purchasing via the customer service line as well - having a battery would definitely increase the flexibility of the product.
Great Player for Car.......2007-07-26
While researching the purchase of a dual DVD player, I learned that most of these units do not come with a battery. The box clearly shows the contents and nowhere was I misled into believing one was included. I think earlier comments are due to lack of research and knowledge of what is standard on these units.
This is still a recent purchase but so far the picture quality and sound are excellent. I paid $179.99 at Sams Club. I have one child and one of the benefits with this is you can use the screens in separate vehicles. It has two remotes, ear buds and power adapters. It has only one cigarette lighter adapter which can be picked up pretty cheap. I found the unit to be versatile, easy to use and setup.

Beautiful picture and the sound is good, even better through the headphones, No ware on this product do they imply that it has batteries, it is made to be used in your CAR, the box says Mobile not cordless. I paid 179.00 at sams club for 2 players cords etc. So far I am going to give it a thumbs up.
