I'm surprised at how these Energizer nimh batteries don't hold up. They don't hold their charge after a few months of use and their discharge rate is very high. Don't expect to use them after a few weeks on the shelf. I highly recommend going with a low self-discharge nimh or anything other than Energizer.

Energized All The Time.......2007-12-26

What the?? For the past 2.5 years, I have used the same four Energizer 2500mAh in my Canon S3 with no issues whatsoever! They hold a charge even when my camera sits for weeks. I usually take between 100 - 300 shots when I go on vacation or to a ballgame, and I have never run out of power. Also, longevity is not an issue for usage in my Wii remotes. Go ahead and buy them.

We bought dozens of these batteries. They worked great for the first few months, then sharply declined. They do not hold a charge for more than a day left out on the counter, and to use them in a radio or digital camera, we literally get only a few minutes out of them. The package says they can be charged 1000 times. There is no way we have even come close to this number yet. What a waste of money!

I bought these a little over a year ago and have been using them in my Canon S3 IS. I usually get about 500-520 shots per charge. I tend to use my flash about 20-30% of the time and I am always playing around with the zoom. When it is really bright outside, I will turn off the LCD and use to viewfinder. When I was on vacation charged all 8 batteries prior to leaving and had enough battery life to fill both my 2 GB cards and still view the pictures.

I have also started using these in my Wii remotes and they have worked for weeks without needing a recharge.

As many reviewers have pointed out, these batteries do discharge when they sit unused. I have had this happen twice when I have let things sit for 4-6 weeks unused (e.g., third Wii remote)

Minor complaints...as another reviewer pointed out, these get hot when charging. I have the slower charger that takes 4-8 hours to get a full recharge.

I bought these batteries for one main reason, wireless keyboard/mouse. The batteries rarely last 3 days, usually under 3. I use the 8 hour charger for best charge also. It is frustrating when you have to wait 8 hours to use the keyboard. My batteries self deplete so fast I wonder if I have memory problems. I am not satisfied with these batteries at all. Am looking to other companies for better a better product.
