Customer Reviews:
Motorola is tarnising their good name with cheap toy radios.......2008-01-01
I have had a pair of Motorola 1 watt radius P50 walkie-talkies for over a decade. They are amazing radios but pretty big. We got the Motorola T8500's for Christmas. They are worse than a toy. I am really disappointed with Motorola. They used to be an industry leader in communication devices. These radios are better suited for tree ornaments. We used them on a clear day at a small ski area. I set them up following the directions explicitly and "trained" my wife and kids how to use them. Holding the mike key for a second before talking, not too loud, not too close etcetera. Nothing helped. The range seemed fine. They called each other but there is no chance of understanding what the other person is saying. Incredibly frustrating. Everything else about them is well designed. Battery packs face plates and controls, now if they just worked! I'm returning mine and looking for a brand that has radios that can be used for talking to someone as opposed to annoying them. Shame on you Motorola.Motorola T8500 Talkabout 2-Way Radios with Rechargeable Pack, NOAA Weather Alerts and Vibrate
Totally useless, unintelligible speech........2008-01-01
I bought these and expected that they be better than the Uniden GMR 1448-2CK walkies I already have (that work just fine). Not the case! Speech is very hard to understand. While my Unidens are loud and clear over any distance I've tried, the Motorolas sound terrible at every distance. You can barely make out what the other person is saying. All of its cool functions are useless if you can't hear the other person!
Seriously, don't even remotely consider buying these. The guy at a retailer where I bought them said they get several of them returned every week!
Horrible!.......2007-12-29
I received these as a gift after having used the older T6310s and T5100s for over ten years with great success. These radios are touted as having expanded range over the others, but we found the earlier models to still be superior.
I was not expecting the 18 mile range on the packaging. Half of that would have been fine - I wanted something a little more powerful. These became staticy within 50 feet and could not make out reception at all half a mile away while on GMRS.
TERRIBLE!.......2007-12-26
I will be returning these. We followed the instructions perfectly. We cannot hear each other unless you put your mouth right on it and then you cannot understand anything. Do not buy these!
Experienced FRS user, Radio is less than perfect.......2007-12-09
It wouldn't take an experienced radio operator to recognize that the T8500 was an experiment and appearant trend by Motorola. These were a set that I bought shortly after buying a pair of T5000's which are pretty good radios. Needing even more units for work, I aquired a used pair of older T5420's from relatives, which in this group are the best of all for audio clarity. The T8500's ONLY flaw, is the compander circuit (new to 2007?), which is 'supposed to' improve communication. But as other's have stated, it makes it much more difficult to hear the other T8500, but you can make out other radios NOT using that circuitry fairly well. (in other words, they're more compatable with older models that with each other). If you're not speaking very loudly and consistently into the mic, it chops out your conversation at times. Too bad, as the rest of the radio is very nice in all ways and features. After more extensive testing, I have found these to have greater range/sensitivity than my other models (3/4 mile outside at best so far), and am becoming less critical about the compander circuit over-all in recent days. I would recommend using 2500mah NiMH rechargeables to get a week's worth of daily use rather than the included batteries.
Ergonomically, the radio has good buttons and tactile feedback, and the vibration is a nice feature. Backlight on the display is far better than others. Keep in mind these are manufactured by another company under license from Motorola, and I miss having the higher quality clips that come with the genuine commercial grade radios. I hope they improve the effectiveness of the compander circuit or make it optional in future models. Be advised that most newer 'Motorola' models also have that circuit built in as well. 3 stars would be the best I could give this radio, and that rating is only for the most dedicated of FRS users. If you want something better, commercial grade with the added expense, is the best option.

Perfect back cover case.......2007-12-29
This is the perfect case to protect the backside of the iPhone. It's sleek, cool-looking and is at most 1 mm thick. It comes in a variety of colors (I chose the silver to simulate the natural finish of the iPhone). As for the feel and texture of the case, it does have a silicone feel to it and definitely does not have the sure grip that a rubber case would have, but has enough grip to prevent slippage from the hands (which happens alot with the iPhone without any case). Although it is thin, it is sturdy enough to do its job. I've already dropped my iPhone one time already onto a concrete ground without any consequences, except for some scratches and a couple of dents on the case. If you're looking for a case that just protects the backside (I bought a front screen protector from the Apple store), then this is the best one out there, hands down.

Amazing!.......2007-12-12
This is probably the best case I found for my iPhone. Its classy and doesnt take the iPhone beauty away. Everyone who sees it wants to know where I got it from. I would from 8/8 people that I referred this to they all absolutely loved it!
Highly recommended along with Screen Protectors made by POWER SUPPORT.
After a lot of searching: The Perfect Case.......2007-12-07
I purchased here on Amazon the black and the silver versions of this case, and it is perfect. I looked around for about 2 weeks after getting my iPhone for the perfect case and all had negative sides.
This case is perfect, it's slim (will add about 2 milimeters to the size of the phone, it's strong and will protect from scratching, and it's perfect fit!!
100% RECOMENDED
Its a piece of plastic.......2007-12-06
I was very disappointed when this arrived as it is not a soft case by any means. All it is is a hard plastic cover for the back of your iphone. If thats what you were looking for perhaps it is for you but I felt misled by the product description.
