An Excellent Product for Laptop Users.......2004-05-13

SBC sent me this DFE-680TXD together with their dsl modem about a year ago when we applied for a DSL service with them. I installed it into my laptop and after loading it's drivers for Windows ME, hooking it to my hub with a network cable and restarting the machine, I was online!

Of course you still have to configure your network connections and enter your domain name or in my case workgroup name to be able to share stuff or access shared folders with-in my local network, but even before doing all that I was surfing the web thru my dsl connection.

I waited a long time before leaving a review for this card as I was waiting for some flaw to come up but so far after a year it hasn't dissapointed me yet!

So if you have a laptop that unfortunately did not come with a built-in ethernet card, this D-Link DFE-680TXD is surely the way to go!

this is a great networking card it will work in almost any computer running almost any os and it is really fast! I have used this in my house and it is marvelous I can play a game against my brother or I can use the internet at the same time as my dad without suffering any lag at all!!!! this is a great piece of work and i would reccomed it for anyone with a laptop or notebook (it runs with a type 2 PCMCIA card if you were wondering.)
