The Sanyo DSR-M810 digital video recorder offers an economical recording solution for commercial applications in a compact and robust design. This unit accepts a single analog camera and supports the simultaneous playback and recording of images at speeds up to 30 FPS.This unit does not ship with any installed hard drives but features two internal HDD bays for installing two 120GB or two 300GB standard IDE drives. When using two HDDs with the same capacity the second drive can also serve as a mirror drive to back up the contents of the first drive for fail safe operation. Storage is further expandable by adding an external hard drive or CD/DVD burner to this unit's front USB port.Video is recorded in the MPEG-2 format and is adjustable for frame rates and picture quality to suit a variety of security environments. Live and recorded video footage can be viewed on a local analog monitor or from a remote Internet location using a standard Windows browser. Working from a networked PC clients can also operate the PTZ functions of a camera attached via the RS-485 interface.Installing Sanyo's optional VA-SW814 DVR utility software provides a whole range of additional functions not available on a standard Internet browser. These include the ability to manage up to 4000 DVRs a more robust password system and a tool for verifying the authenticity of recorded footage. Recording operation can be continuous or programmed to begin at a date and time or when an alarm is received from an external sensor. This not only saves valuable hard drive space but also makes it easy to locate a piece of video among many hours of recorded material. Great PS/2 to USB conversion hub.......2006-10-17

I use the Buslink USB MULTI-FUNCTION HUB (H-Combo) to adapt PS/2 keyboards and mice to several computers. It works flawlessly with my IBM/Lenova Thinkpad T43P and with my AMD Athlon 64x2 desktop. It installs and works well within Windows XP Pro. I tried several PS/2 to USB converters. This is the only one that works reliably, probably because it is a self-powered USB hub. It has enough power to drive the PS/2 keyboard interface.

One note - the installation instructions may not mention every step of the installation. I found that the supplied software actually installs two drivers. The instructions only provide instructions for the installation of the first driver. The procedure is the same but the second driver name is different from the one shown in the instructions.
