poor quality as a PC monitor.......2007-12-15
A simple warning to all who consider using this product as a PC monitor: this product is terrible.
My serious disappointment with Samsung: Samsung's webpage regarding this product gives conflicting information to obscure the fact that this product is unable to support its native resolution in PC mode.
Virtually everywhere on the webpage at Samsung, including in the FAQs, you are told that the product has a native resolution of 1440x900, and this resolution is the recommended resolution if you are to use it as a monitor for PC or Mac. Only if you care enough to download their manual pdf file and read it, you are told that it has a maximum resolution of 1366x768. The quality of the product as a monitor is terrible, blurry characters with bad aspect ratio in all supported resolutions.
By magic, the manual equates the maximum resolution with native resolution (normally refers to the number of physical pixels in the display). While this is true in LCD monitors in general, when the LNT1954H cannot support its native resolution, the manual gives the impression that it can. Hardly a honest mistake.
Excellent TV .......2007-12-14
My wife wanted a white TV in the kitchen of our recently purchased home. I wasn't too keen on this project since it involved running new coaxial cable through what was originally the exterior brick wall of the house, behind cabinets, and through the tile backsplash. Also, I suggested the largest TV that would fit on the counter and under the cabinets. A 23" would fit, but my wife preferred the 19". Sooooo......we now have the Samsung 19" white TV up and running in our kitchen. It is a great little TV. Turn it on, and it programs itself. All you have to do is change channels. The picture is sharp and clear. I looked carefully for haze or a border, but could not detect any problem. The audio is remarkable for a relatively small TV. Best of all, my wife is very happy with it.
Nice but very small.......2007-12-14
Size does matter. The TV is nice enough, but unless you're right on top of it, like a desktop computer, it's too small even for a small room. I put it into a small bedroom and felt like I needed binoculars sitting in a chair about 8 feet away. I returned it and upgraded to the 23" Samsung. It's only four more inches, but it made all the difference. The bigger model also comes with full stereo outputs on the back, unlike the 19". If you can afford it, the bigger one is worth it.
White Samsung 19" TV.......2007-12-12
I purchased the Samsung 19" LCD HD TV for my new grandson's "home" away from
home bedroom. I decorated the room in patriotic colors. When I saw a
white TV I thought it would be perfect for his bedroom at my house. I LOVE
it, great picture and it works so well with the color scheme of the room.

We had purchased a 32' Samsung back in 2005 and really like the features. This satisfaction lead us to look for a smaller version for a different room. Picture is great, sound is good too. No issues with quality whatsoever. Performs flawlessly.
