Highly Recommend.......2007-12-16
After much research and reading of various reviews we settled on this particular TV. It, plus HD DirecTV, and an upconverting Sony DVD player has produced excellent results. The 120Hz does work and is quite appreciated when watching Sunday Night Football (can't stand the Monday crew), the few HD hockey games, and even action movies on the DVD.
The only con I can think of right now is I don't necessarily need to see my news anchors in Hi Def.
On a side note, I have yet to watch an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray DVD. But I would be very hard pressed to purchase both the pricey players or the disks themselves after seeing the upconverting on standard 480i DVDs.
Oh and I saw a noticable difference between RCA connectors and HDMI on the DVD player. They are pricey but worth the $$.

I read all the great reviews,I watched this TV in the Best Buy store,and it was the best.
Some of the HD channels are very good. Movies on the HD channels are usually very bad. Choppy,blurring,poor color, basically unwatchable. The regular channels are OK sometimes but in general way below my old box flat screen sony. The whole 120 thing is a puzzle to me. I see blur in football games and movies,none of which I saw in the store. Maybe I should have gone with plasma? or are all HD tvs like this? I held off buying an HDTV for a long time,now I think I should have waited longer.

Did alot of research on many tvs, had in mind the 4661 samsung, then saw the 4665 samsumg and that one had very nice picture and options. saw it at circut city. Then salesman pointed out this one 4671 amazing picture quality but price was up their even with the sale 3,099.99. I wasn't planning on that price but the 120 mhz feature for sports watching really caught my husbands attention, and the 25,000 contrast made a big diffence also. After looking in the store and coming home checking on line and looking at my consumer books, which I rely on very much showed the samsung and sony where at the top. I did look at the sonys but they are even higher priced, my husband heard alot about the samsungs also that is why we went more towards that one. Now I started my research on line and found amazon which I had never shopped before, and the price was an unbelievable savings from all the stores. I was very unsure of making such a large purchase on line and warranty issues were a whole nother thing. I called amazon asked many many questions, woman very helpful, and my anxiety issues were relieved and made the purchase. The case fits the device perfectly. Note that skin type cases come in two sizes, one for the standard battery and one for the extended. Make sure you get the one that fits your Q.
The case makes the devices "sticky". This is great if what you want is to not dropt the device. I dropped mine almost daily before I got the case. With the case I dropped it maybe once in 8 months. This also keeps the Q in place when you set it down, on a desk, dashboard, etc. It won't slide off. The skin has prevented mine from vibrating off the desk when it rang at least once.
The skin does make using the device "different" and requires some adjustement. One reviewer suggested that the skin makes the device difficult or impossible to use. That person is impatient. Of course it makes it a little harder to use. There is a layer of silicone between you and the device! It will take geting used to, and at first it will be a little frustrating, but you will get the hang of it.
If, as one reviewer suggested, if you want to keep the device in your pocket, don't get a skin, period. You won't get it in or out of your pocket without a struggle. I would think this would apply to any device with a skin, and has nothing to do with the quality or design of the product. If you keep it in a , purse, etc., then no issues.
My skin has ripped. It's pretty tough but if you man-handle it, it will rip. If you chnage batteries a lot, or take the skin on and off a lot for whatever reason, it will stretch a little. Having said that, mine still fits despite rough treatment and constant on and off.
I am about to buy my second boxwave skin for my Q. One way to read that is after 8 minths you need to replace it? Another way is that the product is good enough so I bought the same thing when I needed another. I consider these types of skins disposable. They will not last as long as the device. It costs less than $20. What do people expect? I expected a year and got about 8 months. That's why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.
Also, because the skin sits between your Q and the outside world, it gets dirty, not your Q. After 8 months to a year, you will want a clean one too. Cheapskates can save money by washing it, I suppose. Let me know how that works out for you.
Disappointed.......2006-07-18
I was disappointed by my Motorola Q FlexiSkin. It looks goofy, is not very functional (it gets stuck in your pocket and makes it hard to press the buttons), and it also rips very easily. Mine ripped in the first week of usage. I would not recommend this product for your Motorola Q.
