The picture is simply stunning. There is simply NO reason to spend more money on any TV this size. It doesn't get any better than this. So don't bother shopping around, do yourself a favor and just get a Sharp Aquos from Amazon.com.
Great TV.......2007-10-14
I just got this TV 3 weeks ago, and so far I'm not disappointed. I have it hooked up to my PS3, and the picture is beautiful. And the tv itself is very stylish. I'd heard some bad things about the sound, but - its not that bad. Granted a sound system would of course make it much better, but for what it is I'm happy (that said I will probably be buying a sound system in the future for it).
The 1080p, while not noticeable from a few feet away, is noticeable if you're close. And I play my games fairly close due to the layout of my room, so for me the 1080p is a plus. If you sit farther away, I don't know if I'd recommend it on a TV of this size.
I don't know how well the Vyper drive works. I have my PS3 plugged into it, and there is no lag or anything, but ... I don't know that there would be lag without it either. Nice to have I suppose. I like the game button on my remote. :)
Only complaint is that I have 1 stuck pixel now. I'm not taking any stars off because its only 1 pixel, and its a fairly common problem on LCD tvs. I'll probably be hooking the TV up to my computer and running some corrective software soon (note that its a STUCK, not a DEAD pixel. That means its fixable).
To conclude: If you want a "small" 1080p tv, this is the way to go. Its my dream tv (32'' is perfect for me and I really wanted 1080p). It looks great (both the picture and the tv), and as for the sound - you get what you pay for, which is not horrible. However, if you won't be up close to the TV I'd recommend saving some money and going for a 720p.

Except for sound volume, this product met all my expectations. All modes from 480i to 1080p work great. Menu is friendly. No issues at all.

I bought a 32" LG 720p two years ago...there was no 1080p available until Sharp came out with the LC32GP1U and it's little brother. I had enough of only 720p for a computer monitor. That is all I use it for. The Sharp 1080p is very nice and I am impressed. When I switched monitors and before I switched resolution modes on my computer (which immediately recognized the new monitor) I noticed the display was only using 1/4 of the 1080p display. The 720p mode is 1/4 screen of a 1080p. When I switched in my settings to 1920x1080 I suddenly had SPACE for my desktop items! Now I can have multiple items/windows displayed simultaneously. For a computer monitor, the Sharp is it. There is no other manufacturer out there that makes one. Secondly, Sharp does not dissapoint on their offering, either. I do recommend it.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS TV THE PICTURE IS AMAZING. MY HD CABLE BOX WON'T COME FOR ANOTHER WEEK SO I CAN'T COMMENT ON THAT PICTURE ASPECT HOWEVER THE BUILT IN TUNER GIVES ME ALL THE LOCAL HD CHANNELS THAT ARE NOT SCRAMBLED.AND THE PICTURE IS PERFECT ON THESE. EVEN MY STANDARD DVD PLAYER LOOKS GREAT THE DIFFERENT MODES ARE VERY FLEXIBLE. I HOOKED UP MY MEDIA CENTER PC WITH THE DVI PORT AND THE PICTURE IS PERFECT AND IT IS GREAT TO BE ABLE TO SEE MY RECORDED TV PROGRAMS ON A BIG SCREEN INSTEAD OF A COMPUTER MONITOR.BY ALL MEANS BUY THIS TV YOU WON'T BE DISAPOINTED. WELL WORTH THE MONEY THE BEST TV I HAVE EVER OWNED.
