Uncompromised picture quality starts with combining carefully chosen components and circuits to optimize system quality, among these are the color creation and processing functions. That's what Live Color Creation is all about. It starts with the BRAVIA Engine™ PRO video processing system, which enhances primary colors and corrects half-tone colors for natural overall color. High Contrast Ratio: Sony uses a dynamic backlighting system called ACE (Advanced Contrast Enhancement) on BRAVIA V-Series TVs. ACE automatically senses the APL (Average Picture Level) of the video signal and adjusts the intensity of the backlight for improved contrast. VESA test and measurement methods are applied yielding a contrast ratio of used 7000:1. This number represents the widest possible ratio between black and white contrast levels. Sony also measures their BRAVIA televisions with a more stringent method that measures the amount of black and white levels that can appear on the screen at the same time. This method yields a more real world measurement of 1300:1

Sony Bravia KDL40V2500 40" HD TV.......2007-12-22

I researched a lot of TVs before deciding on the Sony Bravia KDL40V2500 model. For us, it offered the most features for the money; 1080p, lots of input/output connections for DVD players, video games, digital and video cameras, etc. We have the dish network, and the channels in regular programming are just so-so, but the picture in high definition is just superb. We can't wait until most all programming is in HD. The TruSurround sound is great. Playing games on PS2 or Wii is so much more fun on the big screen. With the advancing technology and prices coming down on these TVs, I'm glad we decided to purchase when we did.

I Love My TV!!!!.......2007-12-12

I think my title sums it all up! I'm not going to bore you with the geeky techno garble about this TV, too many people already have. My review is about the customer service. I was really scared to plunk down my hard earned money to buy a TV from warehouse deals as an open box unit. However, I wanted the most TV my money could buy and after touring the stores locally I liked the Sony's better and setteled on this one. Even with all the good ratings I was still very skeptical and scared to death the whole time until I got it. I had purchased a refurbished DVD Player from refurb depot (don't shop there) that was DOA and didn't want the same thing happening again for such a large item, because it would be such a hassle to ship it back. Well my fears were unfounded. My tv turned out to be a great tv and a great deal too!!!I ordered my tv in the wee hours of Friday morning on Nov 30th; my tv was at my door (Atlanta) noon time the following Thursday! The description was correct the box had been opened before but the tv was about as new looking as it could get! The delivery team (Eagle) had my phone number from Amazon and called and left a message the prior evening that my tv had arrived and could the delivered between 11 nad 1 the next day and they did so. I had to go to work so I did not let them set it up but I inspected it for damage and found none. It plays beautifully and it looks amazing on my tv stand. This had been a great shopping experience, and I don't always get this type of good service so I felt I had to commend Amazon. Oh yeah the price that night was unbelievable too...paid $839.99 for this 40" Sony tv $881.98 shipped! The closest price locally was $1399.00 on sale! I feel so special!

Best HD LCD TV on the market!.......2007-12-02

I was at Sam's Club recently and they had the Sony Bravia side by side with several other HD LCD's and I found myself mesmerized by the beautiful, vivid, sharp picture displayed on the Sony as compared the other brands. The salesperson was touting the value of one of their 46" TV's at the time, but I could barely listen, my eyes kept drifting back over to the Sony. The salesperson realized what was going on, and chimed in saying, "Oh, the Sony, there is no better picture out there but you can get this 46" for less." I could care less about saving money, I wanted the Sony, and my mind was made up. I went home and researched the various brands of HDTV's and came to the conclusion this was in fact the best tv. Amazon had the best price, so I ordered it here, and was very impressed with the delivery people, the quick delivery, and the price.

What I really like about this TV is that it has various picture modes, my favorite being "vivid" where the screen is brighter and more realistic. It also has wide zoom which takes up the entire screen and enlarges the picture just slightly. It appears to be a bigger TV when you use this mode. Overall, I am thrilled with this purchase and very highly recommend purchasing through Amazon so you can get free shipping, and depending upon your state, pay no sales tax.

This battery is not a brand new as stated by the seller. It does not hold charge at all. I am truly believe that it is a very old battery that they are selling. Don't even bother to buy it, you will feel like being rip off by this seller. I gave one star because there is no half a star or less to rate, but it doesn't even deserve one star. Trust me, Do not waste your money on this. Watch out for the other reviewers on this product who rated 4-5 stars, I think they have their own staff rated it for them.

It was a toss up between 3 or 4 stars. They just don't stay charged very long. Make sure you buy two at a time. Vendor was quick to ship and no problems dealing with them.

I can't believe it's this cheap.......2007-06-15

I remember the days when I paid $100 for a replacement cell phone battery. Now, finding a replacement battery from a reputable Internet supplier is a little dicey. This battery was less than $5 and it worked like new. I bought 2 and I'm glad to have the spares, which I carry in a bag and needed during my short trip.b Thanks for Eforcity providing the excellent batteries.
