Gorgeous.......2007-12-18
This TV is absolutely gorgeous. For HD inputs, I'm using an Toshiba HD-A35 1080p HD DVD Player, a Panasonic HDC-SD5 Hi-Definition Palmcorder Camcorder BUNDLE, as well as an HTPC driving the TV at full resolution 1920x1080x60. Videos, HD DVD's, normal DVD's, PC games, web browsing, digital photo slideshows: all look completely stunning.
I expected that since the display is optimized as a TV, it wouldn't be that great as a computer display (computer LCD's normally have more of a screen door effect than LCD TV's so that the pixel boundaries are more square and precise when displaying text and other fine pitch imagery). I was wrong. It makes for a fantastic computer monitor that I can comfortably use from across the room.
Because I'm also using a Toshiba HD DVD player, they talk to each other over HDMI (Toshiba calls it CE-Link) and the interface is a little simpler as a result. The TV will turn on and switch to the HD DVD input when I turn on the HD DVD player. One theoretical benefit that I haven't really tested is that if the TV is in view of the remote but the DVD player is out of sight, the remote should still work on the HD DVD player via the HDMI cable. In general though, don't get buy the TV or choose other components just to get this feature. Because it's disabled by default, it's annoying to enable on both sides and make sure both devices are cooperating. It's about the same level of pain in the butt to get a decent universal remote and use a macro.
I've mounted the TV on a Sanus VMAA18 Articulating Mount for 30"-50" Flat Panel TVs - Black which is a little overbuilt for this TV, but I wanted it to be *really* secure. Cable routing is also a little difficult since the mount structure interferes with easy access to most of the input ports. You can still get to the inputs, but small hands help quite a bit. Not a deal-breaker, and certainly not the fault of the TV, just an annoyance to be aware of.

Does Not Support Windows XP!.......2006-10-02
I bought this switch to share a printer between 2 printers. This product is waaay out of date though. The required software did not come on a cd, but on a floppy disk. MY COMPUTER DOESNT EVEN HAVE A FLOPPY DISK!! Even when I went out and bought an external floppy disk drive I had the nice surprise of finding out that this product only supports Windows M.E. and below.
