Same jumbled screen issue.......2007-09-29
A month after my warranty expired - i got the jumbled screen syndrome as well. Not sure whether to fix it or just buy a new "brand" name TV at this stage.

You will be sorry if you buy this TV. We loved it at first-great deal, great picture. One month out of warrantee the picture started getting jumbled. It happened once in a while. It is now getting progressively worse. Last night the picture went out 3 times in 3 hours. We approached Norcent right away when the problem started. They said they could not (and would not) help us since it was out of warrantee. They do not have any authorized repair centers either.
There is obviously something wrong with this product since there are so many complaints online. Norcent does not support their products and I will never buy from them again.
If anyone found a solution to this issue please post it!!
Bad tv.......2007-05-14
To make a long story short,this is a BAD tv.had to ship back to the factory for repair at my expense.All i know to do with it is to let my grandson play with it by taking it apart.Do not buy a norcent product.

I bought this TV last February. For those of you who don't want to read this review in its entirety...just DON'T THROW AWAY THE BOX! Now where was I, oh yeah, like those who reviewed the unit earlier I too was very impressed with its initial performance. I foolishly threw away the box within a couple of weeks. I mean LCD TV is a proven technology right? Not a good idea. After about 8 months the picture started turning green. First intermittently and then it would remain green all the time. It was like all of the darker parts of the picture were being replaced by a dark green. The picture also got grainy like a computer monitor switched to 256 colors. I contacted Norcent customer service. I had to be very proactive and had to keep pinging them to keep them "responsive". In order to obtain warranty service the unit had to be shipped back to CA (I live in MD) at my expense and if damaged in route, Norcent will refuse to accept it. Many of the shippers I queried were either ridiculously high or not willing to take on the risk at all. Fortunately I was able to find a reputable shipper that would ship the unit for only $100 (paid extra to get the insurance coverage and special care) and fortunately it didn't get damaged in route. The unit was returned to me well within their guaranteed 4-week response time. The original warranty expired last month and there is no warranty on repairs. So-far-so-good after three weeks. Picture quality is now excellent. Hopefully this was just a glitch that surfaced early in the production run and is now resolved...
Turns Green .......2007-02-12
This set was great when I first bought it but several months later it began to turn green like a couple other people posted. I don't know what is wrong but the image turns green/red for several minutes. Then it might turn back or just stay that way. Very annoying problem so if you want to avoid annoyance further down the road I'd recommend avoiding this set and going with something more dependable. I might just chuck mine in the trash and forget this mistake of a TV.

A single Network LANswitching Management Module (either 3C510502 or 3C510505) can be used to manage a stack of SuperStack II Hub TR hubs that are connected via Cascade Cables, but segmented into separate Token Ring LANs. This feature is useful when Token Ring switching is implemented via the CoreBuilder 6000 Token Ring Switching Module or SuperStack II Switch 2000 TR. To enable the Roving RMON feature, connect the hubs via Cascade Cables and isolate the cascade interfaces via software using the RS-232 port of the Network LANswitching Management Module and/or the Transcend Network Management applications, or telnet. Slide-in LANswitching Management Modules on both 12 and 24-port models provide built-in network analyzer capabilities for your mission-critical Token Ring network. This analyzer function is based on the SNMP RMON MIB standard. RMON supplies a variety of statistics and services that provide network managers with the necessary tools to fully manage and control remote sites. RMON functions can be separated into three broad categories: maintaining performance-summary tables, capturing and filtering packets for later analysis, and generating alarms when predefined thresholds are breached. Performance summary tables describe network traffic, error rates and types, active user addresses, and user activity. The history tool constantly logs these detailed error and performance statistics for each station locally in the agent so that historical analysis information can be uploaded from any network management station, even after a fault occurs. Packet capture and storage of LAN-analysis statistics in the agent allow a remote manager to selectively filter and review packet traffic from the managed network. Captured packets can be uploaded to the manager and saved to disk as Network General Sniffer files for more detailed analysis by other tools.
