Unimaginably Horrible Experience.......2007-12-28
Obviously repackaged, previously opened and likely returned by someone else, non-functional hard drive [wouldn't mount at all]. Additionally, they were, of course, out of stock for a replacement. I ordered this for next day delivery because delivery happened to be important in this case. The result was a significant amount lost time and money. Ouch. . . really.

ok.. so what the others say is true... its a bit noisy... not overly so and it wouldnt stop me buying another one since I can put it underneath the desk and that muffles the sound. Great price point, so far reliable.

It was difficult to find a mostly positive review of a lot of the 1tb external hard drives out there, so for me, it came down to price. This drive is among the least expensive of the ones I looked at, but I was concerned about the noise that a lot of people said this drive makes. Sure enough, when I started using this drive, it made a lot of noise. Then I found a solution. I keep this drive in a vertical position (which it says you can do in the documentation) next to my iMac, and now it's as quiet as can be. Since I never move it, the loud noise has never returned. So, I would suggest operating this drive in a vertical position, and if it still makes a lot of noise, move it ever so slightly until the noise stops.
Cheap, works and a bit noisy.......2007-11-27
I think previous reviews have stated that this drive is a bit noisy, I concur with that since its due the the 7200RMP vibrations. But, its fast and a lot of storage space for a low price. So far, I have it about 1/2 a year and its still working like new.
Pluses: cheap, a lot of space, fast(read/write/transfer), good looking case, a shut off switch in the back.
Minuses: big case (2 drives in there), long cords, hot transformer, noisy vibrations.
I would recommend this to anyone who is backing up alot of stuff on a budget and will not need to bring this drive around.
Get what you pay for.......2007-11-11
It's 1TB at 249- . I think i paid 229- when i got it a few months ago. That's just dirt cheap. For me, it's a mass storage device. It shouldn't be something you're gonna leave on and access all the time. It should be your backup. I agree it's a little noisy -- especially when first activating after being dormant. But I have found the MyBook's even louder sometimes. Anyway, it's cheap and it lets you store a lot.
My suggestion is if there is something you want to sit and watch for two hours -- like a movie via media center or something to your tv, copy it to you main computer (takes two minutes, right?) and they just cycle down the drive. Bottomline: this thing works. And I've had no problems unlike the MANY MAXTORS I've bought and had get inexplicably corrupted. I also recommend the MyBooks.

in spite of previous reviews here from people who can't seem to read, where it says right on the package 'body STICKER tattoos', or complain that it's not ink transfer (which would be rather dangerous using inkjet ink, which would have more allergic reactions than the film these use), The product is exactly as it claims to be, and can be used for more than jsut a body tattoo. I have used them as window decals, notebok decorations, and many other things.
If you're looking for ink transfer tattoo's.. you'll be spending a fortune for a special machine and ink, with a stencil kit...all quite costly and time consuming. For simple removable body art, as this states it is, this product serves the purpose.

The tattoos turn out terrible. I wasted my time coming up with some team artwork to put on these, then made some. It is more like a clear sticker on the arm, not like a tattoo. And it doesn't stick very well. I won't use them.

These are more like body stickers. They do not have the tatoo effect, but you can make anything that you want. I used them for a Halloween costume because I couldn't find what I needed and they did the trick.

This is one of the worst products I've ever touched. I expected the something similar to the temporary tattoos one would buy at a toy store or get in a box of crackerjacks. Instead this product is more like a very complicated sticker. You print to one sheet (making a blurry image), then transfer to a second sheet that you apply to your body with the aid of the typical wet sponge. Rather than the ink transfer you'd expect, you get a clear sheet of plastic glued to your arm. Not only was the result not what I expected, but within 2 hours my suffocating skin began turning blue and red. When I removed the tattoo, merely two hours after application, I was left with a bruise for days and a red mark lasting for weeks. This is a horrible product and I think it would be dangerous to children. Save yourself the trouble and don't waste your money.
