Easily installed in a PowerMac G5.......2007-10-21
My Dual Processor 2.7 GHz G5 Power PC PowerMac came with 1 GB of RAM. This kit tripled that and made a very noticeable difference in the machine's speed and capacity to run multiple programs at once. It was not difficult to install using Apple's instructions.
Kingston G5 Mac 2GB upgrade kit (KTA-G5400/2G).......2007-01-03
I have used Kingston memory cards before, and have found the same flawless performance in this 2GB kit (2 matched 1 GB cards) for my Dual 1.8 processor Power PC Mac G5 tower.
Installation is simple, keeping in mind the cards are snug and require a good push to seat them. The G5 recognized the memory upgrade immediately after start-up. My G5's configuration allows for a maximum of 4GB...I have kept 2 of the 4 slots filled with 512KB cards, while these 1GB cards occupy the other 2 slots. (I plan to buy another kit this year to max out the memory)
