I just wanted an inexpensive decent set of COMFORTABLE earphones for using with my MP3 player and these are perfect. Good sound quality and comfy. Not audiophile stuff but they do also block outside noise

I purchased these earphones about a month ago from Wal-mart for about $15. I listen to Freddie Hubbard, Jay-Z, The O'Jays, Sade, Prince, and some Bee Gees. I wear them all day at work and also while I workout. They are loud and the bass is a little overwhelming even painful at times, and I like bass! The highs and mids are mediocre at best.I have never had to change my EQ settings this much before. They have a snug fit that does block out a good amount of background noise but after a couple of hours I would have to pull them out for a 5-10 minutes to let my ears rest a bit. They stay put during my workouts without any need for adjustment. For 15 bucks they get the job done just fine!

I have always had a problem with finding ear phones that fit in my ear without hurting after ten minuets, THESE are perfect! They fit smaller ear canals, don't fall out or move AND they don't hurt after wearing them! PLUS even better, you can't hear any outside noise when they are in! It's amazing. I suggest these to anyone who gets ear pains from shoving large ear phones into smaller ears. Worth the money, not too expensive.

After I lost my high-end earbuds about a month ago i set myself to get a cheap replacement.
Went with the Koss Sparkplug...big mistake!!!
put them on and felt like going right away to the store to return them. Decided to stick with them, and after 20 days they broke!!
So..went again looking for headphones, and got these today.
Keeping in mind what you're paying, i can say i'm extremely happy with them so far...the earbud stays in my ear, the sound is clear and not overpowered with bass...they even look like they could last a couple of months! So, in spite of my previous reservations about throwing another $15-$20 to the garbage, i can say i'm glad i got these things!

I have tested quite a few earbuds and is the only type of headphones I wear.
I figured for the price I would try these as an extra pair.
They fit ok, but the Sound, OOOO The Sound, It isn't good at all.
My ol trusty Sony earbuds sound 100% Better.
I would suggest look elsewere for better earbuds.

Inexpensive No Frills Preamp.......2006-07-18
I realized I needed to boost the input from the microphones I was using if I was going to get a better quality recording. Since this is a home studio setup, price was a major consideration. The M-Audio Audio Buddy met my most immediate needs and provided some bonuses as well. Only after I became a little more educated did I experience any dissatisfaction with this piece of equipment.
The Audio Buddy has a lot going for it. It provides two input and output channels, something I was hard pressed to find in other microphone preamps in this price range. For input, you have a choice of either XLR or the common ¼ inch plug for either channel. For any given channel, you can use either, but not both at the same time. This is standard, so this is not a gripe with the unit. Output is ¼ inch plug only. In retrospect, it would be nicer to have XLR output option as well.
The sound from the unit is clean. There is very little coloring added to any input. There is plenty of gain to be had from this little box and the sound stays clean, even when the signal is really boosted. This is also a no frills device as there are no built-in effects. Then again, this is a low price preamp, so you get what you pay for.
One immediate dissatisfaction was the knobs controlling the gain. They are not as smooth as I'd like and setting the desired degree of boost is a little tricky. Once set, however, the unit holds firm. I would have like bigger control knobs.
Once I started reading, I was disappointed that I have to be tethered to a transformer. I am using this box in conjunction with recording to a PC. Now I've discovered there are units that draw their power from the USB port on the PC. Since I may go mobile and record with a laptop, this reliance on A/C power could be a real bother for me.
All in all, I am satisfied with the Audio Buddy. It meets the goal of providing a clean preamp signal at a low cost. If you remember this is a no frills unit, it is very good. If you want more features, and are willing to pay for them, you may want to look elsewhere. As it is, I'd rate it as a solid four star choice.
