Yes, it is very important to make sure your TV has a Headphone Out jack on it. I got these for my bedroom HDTV (32 inch Envision LCD) as a considerate gester for my sleeping wife. I bought that TV with a headphone option in mind. Let me tell you, I couldnt be happier, and my wife appreciates it as well. The cord is 24 feet long, so it will fit most of the normal sized bedrooms in houses or apartments out there so you can still lay on your bed while watching TV. They are very comfortable as well as producing a high quality sound. I also like the volume control being on the headphones- you dont even have to reach for the remote. Its a nice option, trust me. I was amazed how good the 'low' noises sounded. Ive never been a fan of Koss, but they certainly make a good headphone. Recommended.... IF your TV has the proper connection options, of course.

This headset is sold as a long cord tv head set The plug on the end of it is a 3.5 mm the plugs on the tv's are rca plugs I went to radio shack(why did i have to) to buy an adapter that cost around $10 i went back twice and they did'nt work Unless i have missed some thing this should not be sold for a tv.It did fit my walkmen but who needs a 24 foot cord for some thing that fits in your pocket
