Customer Reviews:
Excellent sound unaffected by body motion!.......2007-12-24
I'm a treadmill runner who also lifts weights. The ear buds that came with the Shuffle my daughter gave me wouldn't stay in my ears in workouts because of body motion so I wanted something that wouldn't slip or fall out. I've worn these for about 10 75-minute workouts and also for one extended 4-5 hour leaf-raking. I can tell you that these are nothing short of terrific. The sound is excellent with good balance between bass and treble. Body motion is no problem at all. On the bench the wrap-around design sometimes bumps the bench, but it doesn't knock them out of my ears. A slight repositioning of my head when I'm bench pressing takes care of the bump.
I've never tried noise-canceling earphones, but these make me think I have all I need. The Y where I work out plays music, but it is not noticeable. This might be because I play my music loud. It doesn't seem too loud to me, but the volume certainly impacts how much external sound you hear. When I want to have a conversation, it is easy to remove these phones by just dropping them around my neck, like a necklace.
On harder workouts, I have had some perspiration trickle into my right ear, but I just dried it off. It created no problem.
The mint green color - a Sennheiser trademark apparently - is kind of cool.
Finally, headphones for running!.......2007-12-17
Let me say it right up front: the iPod has revolutionized my running. After 30 years of pounding the pavement, injuries were beginning to take their toll and boredom was becoming an issue. It was getting easier and easier to look out the door and say "Oh, geeze, it's overcast today; better not run."
The iPod changed that; running with programable non-skipping music was great. I found my motivation again.
EXCEPT.....
This earbuds that come with the IPod are terrible. The jarring thump of pounding the pavement pops them out every few yards. I was on a quest to find a replacement.
The Sennheiser PMX70s are the answer for any runner. The design places the earpieces comfortably in the ears. Soft rubber surround the peice so they are in there to stay. The headpiece wraps around the back of the head but does not come in physical contact, however, this design stabalizies the phones and keep them in place.
The sound is a vast improvemnt over the original issue earbuds and surpass any other "exercise phones" I have tried (and believe me, I've tried a lot). They will not top over the ear models for sound quality but for running, the sound is quite good with good highs and great bass (I recommend setting the iPod EQ on the "Loudness" setting). You can also hear outside noises so you can remain alert to the dangers of the road.
Best sports headphones ever.......2007-12-15
These are hands down the best sports headphones I have ever used. The sound is clear and accurate and they block out a lot of external gym noise. The neckband is comfortable and the headphones DO NOT slip at all. Great buy.
Great for exercising with...........2007-12-11
Really great headphones, especially when you go jogging or any other type of exercise as these seem to be the only headphones that I have ever purchased that actually stay on your ears when causing great physical moment. For example, the other week I was hit by a double-decker bus whilst jogging and they still stayed on! Even the paramedics were amazed...
Seriously, great headphones. Even the lime colour grows on you and gives the brand a unique quality (like the original i-pod white headphones). I suppose there is a practicality to the colour, for example they stand out and may give warning to others that your hearing maybe impaired to due to listening to music. Or maybe the designers were on mind-bending drugs, who knows?
The wire is long enough to make it comfortable when jogging, and the wire is also great as it is very good at remaining slack and doesn't hardly 'curl' up.
The sound is great, with good bass - which isn't normally good in regards to in the ear headphones. But the sound can only be great if you have a good mp3 player, CD player to go with it (and vise versa).
Two problems I have encountered, first they do hurt the ol' ears a bit after a while but I have never had a pair of inside the ear earphones (and I have had loads) that DO NOT ache/hurt after a while. But this problem only depends on when you were them. If you wear them for exercising, then an hour or so is probably the average time you spend wearing them.
Secondly, the ones I purchased seem to have a slight static/hiss problem from the connector to the mp3 that becomes obvious when the wire near the connector moves, but I think it was just a one off problem with mine, and it really isnt THAT noticable, but it is there.
All in all, a great set of headphones, Sennheiser always seem to be above more famous brands when it comes to quailty and comfort. I bought these after buying a set of Sennheiser ear muff type headphones for my PC, and the sound was amazing.
Best I've ever used.......2007-12-08
I have been running for 30 years and these are far and away the best sports headphones I have ever used. I just finished an hour run and they were completely comfortable the entire time. They never moved or fell out of my ears and they sound GREAT! They don't sound quite as good as my Ultimate Ears in-ear phones, but you shouldn't expect them to since the Sennheisers still allow you to hear sound around you, which is crucial for running. There was a little bit of wind noise if heading directly into a decent wind, but not enough to be a distraction. I can see why one of the reviews said there was a lot of wind noise while biking. These headphones blow away the Sony, Nike, and iPod headphones I have used in the past in sound quality, comfort, and stability. Get some and you won't be sorry.

Great and easy to use with no problems, just plug in and start. Creating back ups automatically with NTI shadow software and no effect on laptop performance. I wish I bought the larger capacity:).....Size is good to carry around.
Easy to use.......2007-08-15
I bought this to backup my iPod. I didn't even use the CD they included with a file transfer program. Nothing to install, just plugged in to the USB and dropped files into the drive in My Computer. One and done. Great product.
Great external hard drive.......2007-08-01
Great so far. Small and easy to carry around. MY computer sometimes has trouble finding it...but that really had been the only problem.
Toshiba Hard Drive.......2007-06-25
I bought this HDD to back up my G4 ibook. It worked pretty well except for the suddenly disappearing Toshiba icon and the dialogue box telling me I disconnected it incorrectly. After going through that 20-30 times, while loading the contents of my ibook, I discovered you can't boot a mac from USB 2.0. Might be useful for simply storing music or photos but for a back up solution, esp for a mac, it's not very useful.
