These are the best headphones I've ever heard for professional music recording and editing. We like them so much we have three pairs. While the 7506s are really good, when I put these on I gasped at the difference--they're that much clearer. These might be too costly for lower-end use, but for classical music recording, with its wide dynamic range and huge frequency range, these cans offer superb performance.
A Great Headset for noisy work.......2007-09-20
This Sony Headphone is a great headphone for working in a noisy environment where you must be able to use the headset in a discerening way. It's noise cancelling ability is marvelous and yet it is still very comfortable even when worn for a long pereiod of time! I highly recommend this unit, and your ears will tell you that they will recommend it also!

I bought these for home recording with garageband, and they are nice- comfortable- BUT I may have went a little overboard on my expectations of them for my use- the are really for other pro uses in my opinion- if your are a professional studio person they might just be great for you. me, ehh- there okay.

Have been using Sony's 7506 for live church sound. Got these for monitoring during recording. Low end is incredible. I had to buy a second pair for our drummer once he heard them. Upper midrange is also a little smoother than the 7506s. They are bigger and bulkier than the 7506s, but that helps isolation when trying to record live sound.

Used these to do a remix on a master recording..after wearing these all day & into the night, I was never so impressed by a pair of headphones. I belive I could do a complete finial edit & mix with these as the only source and be happy with the outcome. I never, NEVER thought I'd ever be able to say that about a pair of cans/head-phones, & I've been in audio for nearly 20 years.

Really bad .......2006-03-24
I got 2 of those devices few months ago and im still have problem with configuration.
There is a problem with drop the channels after the users hang up the calls , the Channel still opened and the users are not able to use . You have to disconnect the channels manually, and that makes really hard job as you don't know who's is connected on this channel or not .
There are few options on the configuration software to force drop the channel but seems not working .
Another bad Point is the User Manual , very incomplete and if is the first time you're installing this product , Good Luke for you! the manual won't help you .
The Multitech tech. Support service as well, is one of the worse I ever seen, and Im not sure if that really works or not as I tried many times be in touch with then to help me solve my problem , but even in UK or America, I could not talk with anyone .I was waiting 17 min on hold waiting for someone in America without any success .
Was really big mistake to purchase this device , I really should go for a Cisco , or another more professional company .
I would not recommend this device.
