The unit performs as described, but the headphone frame is complex in construction and flimsy. It broke spontaneously after only a few weeks of conscientious care, rendering the unit useless. The vendor, Beach Audio, does not accept claims for defective products after 30 days.

These headphones are pretty good. But before I go on, it should be mentioned that these vibrating headphones use 1 AA battery like other vibrating headphones (battery included). This important detail is not mentioned in the product description or on GE's website. This is important b/c I knew there was no way these headphones could produce enough vibration without extra power (don't think enough electricity can be accessed through a Mini plug). But I took the chance and ordered these headphones without knowing this important detail anyways b/c they were cheap.
About the performance of these headphones. Its good. They fit tight on my head but its comfortable. Physically, the size of my ears and head are probably slightly above average but there's really no discomfort.
So how much bass do these headphones produce? How's the sound quality in general? Well, I remember reading another review (for 'Skullcrushers', another brand of vibrating headphones) and the reviewer said it was similar to sitting in the back seat of a car with a good subwoofer. The vibrating sensation is fairly diffuse, not overwhelming but strong enough. Audio wise, ts like taking a stock Toyota Corrolla's sound system and **just** adding a subwoofer. So in other words, mid's and hi's are just adequate (actually hi's are pretty weak, i've noticed these phones 'crack' at high frequency if you listen to intense audio that gets up that high often) while low bass is good. So think of it like this, audio that's expected from $20 headphones + good, vibrating bass.
And the vibrating aspect is really nice. It makes gaming and movies much more engrossing. Actually if you're gaming with these headphones on you will feel like you're in the middle of an arcade or in a rave. Where there's a thumping that dominates your audio senses while the hi's and mid's are more in the background. Some people may not like this but I think its really cool. I love using these headphones while watching 'Best Motoring' (a great japanese audio show about cars...Amazon sell some of their DVD's), it makes watching these movies a lot more fun. These headphones just make gaming and action DVD's much more engrossing.
Build quality is also pretty good. And these headphones fold up nicely and it comes with a leather carrying case.
EDIT: BTW, upon closer examination, these headphones have the exact same specs as the Skullcandy Skullcrushers. They're pretty much the same headphones, minus $20 and cool name. For some reason, GE/Jasco didn't post the specs for these headphones **ANYWHERE** on the Internet (trust me, I looked; they're not even on the GE/Jasco website). But the specs are on the box (which I have). The specs for these headphones are:
