My 10 year old granddaughter liked the "Milky Time design graphic on the cover. The was done by the artist Simone Legno of tokidoki. She worked hard to get the clear skin over the nano and them struggled with the "Milky Time" skin but did get it on. When she tried to move the center wheel of her nano it didn't work. She pressed real hard and it would move but it was too much work. She removed the outer "Milky Time" skin and continued to use the nano with just the clear skin on. She did try it with just the designer skin but the nano was too loose inside and would fall out. This was a bit of a disappointment for her.

The skin is good protection for the nano. I liked her having a cover but the double thickness doesn't seem to allow for the use of the controls. We all liked the idea but it seems to need just one layer and preferably with a design graphic to accomplish both appeal and function. The design is great and I can see her wanting several iSkins with different graphics in the future.

I switched my slingbox pro from a standard tv to a hd tv. The connect cable works as expected. Easy to use. Directions could have been a little better and tell novices like me that the audio-in cables also have to be connected. With the RCA cables you need only attach three cables, here you have to attach 5.

HD in SD out.......2007-08-30

This rather expensive addition adds 1 additional RGB input into the sling. If you have an ACTIVE RGB output on your cable box or DVD you can use this input.

It converts 1080i 720p 480i and 480p into sling compression. From there it is really just 16:9 standard definition with moderate to very high compression. I am unsure if it will accept 1080p.

Don't expect HD on your computer.

If you need the extra input you can use it. There is a mild improvement in looking at an HD signal using this rather than the S Video input from the cable box. The biggest difference is that the sling handles the 16:9 better with this cable (it doesn't just enlarge it to fill the frame) but sends it as anamorphic format then expands it back to 16:9

This eliminates sending letterboxed images that further reduce resolution.

It handled changes from 720p to 480i well although it takes a second or 2 to figure it out.

Overall,if you want mildly better 16:9 video and one more input you need this connector.

Works Great.......2007-08-23

I have two of these adapters and they work fine. The cable's port on the back of the Sling Box somewhat poorly located to stow all the attached cables and still be able to view the Sling Box's status lights in a small area.

Sling Media HD Connect--check your provider first!.......2007-08-23

Check with your cable provide before buying the HD adapter. I have Brighthouse HD and use a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD DVR connected via HDMI to Samsung LCD. Brighthouse sets up the DVR so that when the HDMI output is in use the component video output is disabled--bit of a problem when trying to feed a Slingbox from the component outputs! Check out the Slingbox forums for more info.

If I could use HDMI and component sources from my Explorer at the same time this would be a good buy. Picture quality is great when fed from a HD component video source. However, at this point this cable is a waste of money.

Necessary item for HD boxes.......2007-06-15

This does exactly what it says. It came as a surprise to me like others have said that it was necessary. Even though it was noted that the cables were good quality, in fact they are cheapies, I did not use them. They look and give the illusion of high quality but I have high quality Monster Cables on my expensive setup and I see that if I use these low end cables it will be the weaklink of my system. The cables are ok for a normal setup, I just have a highend setup. The cables were why I docked it a star, it maybe should have been docked two stars.
