With a 120 MB capacity and a maximum transfer rate of 750 KBps, you are equipped with a drive that can store images, photos, videos, and multimedia files quickly and securely. The Imation SuperDisk external drive can consolidate 83 floppy disks to a single SuperDisk cassette. Secured Encryption Technology protects all your confidential files. The average seek time is 60 milliseconds; the drive has a 10 KB buffer capacity.
The Imation external SuperDisk drive comes with a USB cable, CD-ROM installation guide, and all the pertinent drivers. It operates horizontally and meets all UL and FCC standards.

The external SuperDisk LS-120 drive from Imation is designed to provide unlimited storage capacity on Imation Super Disks. The SuperDisk has a higher capacity, is faster, smarter and more reliable than your conventional floppy drive. The SuperDisk LS-120 can store 120MB of data when used with LS-120 media. It is also downward compatible with current 3.5-inch floppy technology and can read and write to both 720KB and 1.44MB diskettes so you can still use all those diskettes you own. The SuperDisk LS-120 drive spins the media at higher speeds and when LS-120 diskettes are used, accesses data five times faster than a standard floppy disk drive. When 1.44MB or 720KB media is used, the drive is three times faster. Like tape drives and hard drives, the SuperDisk LS-120 uses error correction code, which enables the drive to pack data closer together and accurately recover it. It uses the same track identification as conventional floppies except it contains a defect management table on each disk and error correction capabilities. This error correction allows the SuperDisk LS-120 to identify errors, such as small imperfections in the data or disk wear from use, and correct them.

I am a PC user who initially resisted the Mac. After using it for several months, I fell in love with it. Now, after recently connecting and using the external Imation Superdisk Drive, I am converted. The Superdisk is sooooo easy to install and use....and the Super-disks store an incredible amount of files. Although it's portable, the Drive is not at all flimsy. It's sturdy and solid and I highly recommend it!

This is a very good product, you can use it for travel, and the size is pretty good, at least better than the zip drive in size. the problem it it is too expensive. also not too hard to install at all

Not so good..........2004-10-21
I ordered this because ... well I wanted a card reader for my new sony digital camera and my old card reader wouldn't read the memory sticks. It absolutely would not work. Sounds like something is loose in there so maybe mine just came broken but at this point I'd definitely not recommend it. I was so unhappy with it that after years of buying on amazon, this is my first written review.

Add a great pic to the projector.......2007-12-14
This adapter adds a great looking pic to our projector. All of our components look much better using this adapter. Our HD DVD and our Blu Ray Player were grainy looking prior, but with this adapter we were able to get our signal up to 1080i on the projector and the pic is great.
If You Own an InFocus X1 and your Source has Component Output, Buy this!.......2007-07-18
One of the oddities of the X1 projector is that it's capable of supporting component video at 1080i, but only through this adapter which is sold separately. I originally ran my projector with the S-video cable connected to my DVD player (regular, not HD-DVD or BluRay), which looked good, but once I installed this adapter, the picture became noticeably sharper. While I haven't been able to do a side-by-side comparison, I believe the picture quality is comparable to what I've seen on a BluRay to 42" Vizio LCD TV over HDMI cable set-up. Of course, the X1 set-up will cost you less and give a much bigger viewing area.
