This phone works great! One of my favorite features is that your phone does not need to be plugged into your computer, only that router looking thing does! the display is great too, you can even see if your contacts are away and everything. the sound quality is very good and the phone does not interfere with any signals.

I've had this phone for about 2 months and use it daily as my substitute for a phone. I only have a pay-as-you-go phone for a 'real phone' so I spend about 15-120 minutes daily on this VOIP phone using Skype. It has been spectacular. After the brief installation, it was set to go. I simply activate the software each time I boot up my computer (double-click on the icon I placed on the desktop), let the software and Skype start up for about 15-30 seconds, and then I'm off to call whomever I want with SkypeOut. [For reference, I'm running on Windows XP SP2.]

Sound quality has been excellent on both my ends, which has been my main issue with hardware with Skype. I have had 3 different microphones and one USB Skype phone for over a year prior to getting this phone and they offered a range of sound quality with the most notable differences on the other end (could they understand me or not? I could always understand them). With this phone, there haven't been sound issues. It isn't the best but it is at the higher end of the spectrum of what I've used.

My next Skype phone will be a WiFi phone but that won't happen until their prices drop (a lot) and they are easier to setup on networks. This phone was one of my best purchases of the last year.

I read all the reviews on this phone carefully before buying and was a little bit anxious when I did decide to purchase it. However, since I have had it I have been very, very pleased with it. I use it for Skype and with my Time Warner cable phone line and it works great for both. I love the ease at which you can switch between internet and land phone. The range is very impressive and you can comfortably sit some distance from the base and get excellent sound quality. The battery life is also very long for me.

In short, a very nice surprise. I can't imagine there being a better Skype phone out there at the moment.

This is a simple device that has allowed us to avoid connecting a phone line to our house and save $.

Rings like a normal phone,
Extremely cheap to run,
As easy as a normal phone to call someone.
Cons:
You can only receive calls from another skype user,

I wasn't sure about buying this because a lot of people seemed to have problems with it, but decided to take the chance anyway, and i am so glad. it works as a regular phone, you can take both your landline and internet calls with it. instalation is as simple as it can be. to use with skype, i saved all the numbers i regularly call (not that many) and then i just push the skype button on the phone and can see who's online, then all my saved constacts. makes it easy. otherwise push and hold 0 for the + then add area code and phone number, or 011 country code area code and phone number, then push the skype button. i also got skype in which allows people from my home country to make a local call from their phone and reach me. worth looking into if you have friends and relatives in other states or overseas.
