The secret is the tongue-and-groove fit with Polymer o-ring acting as a waterproof seal. Also, the new Automatic Pressure Equalization Valve releases built-up air pressure while keeping water molecules out, resulting in a watertight case that is even easier to open. Not for swimming or surmerging

Theoretically a Good Idea.......2007-07-18
I purchased this product for a small department in a very large building with a large network system. Our tech people found that this product is somewhat deceptive in what is says it can do. It says it is a network scanner, but it only works properly with small workgroups--it does not recognize domains. I had four tech people working with Fujitsu's tech people for two days before they all gave up on trying to configure this thing to connect to our server. All this machine could do was recognize the two printers nearby rather than being able to save directly to our server as promised. All of my tech guys were excited about what they thought it was going to be able to do, but in the end they told me that it is operating under such a "watered down" version of Windows (called Windows Embedded) that it was not sophisiticated enough to work with our network. They all supposed that it would work well in a small workgroup environment with just a few machines involved. I had to send it back to Fujitsu, which turned out to be a nightmare in itself. Let's just say they really don't like you changing your mind about their products.
