Rock solid at higher voltage.......2006-05-20
This memory needs more juice. At low voltages, memtest reports many errors. My pc allows for 3 voltage tweaks (old Asus nforce2 mobo). At 1.65 volts memtest reports errors & system unstable. At 1.75 volts memtest reported 2 errors. System stable. At 1.85 volts memtest reported 0 errors. System rock solid for 6 months now.
Didn't work for me.......2005-06-30
I bought this memory to use with my EPOX 8KD3I motherboard with an AMD 64 3400 processor. I could not get it to run at 200 mhz in the bios (which is actually 400mhz) when more than one module was installed. I even updated the bios, went through the motherboard manual which stated that the other module needed to be single sided when using two memory modules. So I returned one the modules and purchased a single sided memory module by Crutial Technologies (103482) 184-pin DIMM DDR400 DDR PC3200 512mb at Amazon. It still would only register at 166mhz regardless of what order the modules were installed in. Then I bought a Kingston Value Ram double sided 512 MB KVR400/512R 184-pin DIMM DDR400 DDR PC3200 and used it with the single sided module by Crutial Technologies. Bam! It ran at 200 mhz.

I place many scanners in different offices for my company. This IS200e doesn't require me to have a computer to scan documents to a central office. Easy setup, easy to use, user friendly. I plan to buy more
Don't print directly to the printer..........2006-04-11
Pros: Easy to use, fast, versatile, good quality when scanning to a file (color and b/w)
Cons: Image prints appear faded and washed out when sent directly to a printer
Wanted to use the RICOH IS200e combined with a color laser printer to function sort of as a color copier. When scanning to a file, the image quality and colors are perfect, but when sending directly to a printer, the image prints faded and washed out.
I e-mailed Ricoh support about this problem, thinking it might be something in my setup or maybe a driver issue, and they responded as such: "Regrettably the capabilities of using this equipment as color a copier are limited."
For the price and supposed features of this scanner, I would think that Ricoh would at least bother to acknowledge the existence of such a LARGE problem, rather than just writing it off as being "beyond specified capabilities."
