I didn't need larger than 1 gb, and you can't beat 8-9 dollars.

I got this product a while back and it has helped me a lot because I have a mac and PC and the PC doesn't have win zip i have to transfer it to my Mac to unzip and the Kingston data travel helps me a lot I would recommend this over ANY other flash drive. What I love the most is the size it's small enough to fit in your pocket with your keys and wallet without digging into your skin.

Used this daily for more then 8 hours a day at work and hasn't given me problems yet. I've also purchased another brand name at the same time and that one malfunctioned but this still works.

This is probably the cheapest 1 gb flash drive you'll find that's also reliable and durable. I was contemplating on buying an mp3 player that's also a flash drive, but this was just too cheap!

Super Small USB Drive with a few problems........2007-12-24
I chose this particular drive over the dozens of other USB drives mainly due to its small size. I wanted something small for my keychain. For that purpose it is great!
However, it needed a quick-release for using with a keychain - I don't want to hang my entire keychain from my computer's USB port when I'm using the drive! I salvaged one from a little flashlight and it works pretty well but that should be part of the package. -1 star
Also, I was very disappointed with the Migo sync software that came with the drive. 1.) it kept hanging during the setup and never worked at all. 2.) during the setup there was an option to synchronize with my Mozilla Thunderbird email software, but that failed during the setup. FYI... I have Windows XP Home SP2 on a laptop.
If I was expecting to use the Migo software I would have dropped the rating to three stars, but that isn't a big deal to me right now.

It is a good deal for the price. The blue plastic section slides to protect the device this traveling, but it separated and broke with in the first week. This was easily fixed using super glue, but still think it should be noted. It works, won't blow you away, but good for the price.

I just purchased a bunch of different flash drives and this one is my favorite. Very small. The cover snaps back and forth and is part of the device so you will never lose it. Love it. When I get a bigger one I will get this kind.
Slider is very hard to use.......2007-07-24
The fancy little slide-over piece that is supposed to protect the plug is really hard to click out of the open or closed positions. It's almost painful. It's also almost pointless. The cover only slides forward to the edge of the plug, so the front end of it is just as exposed as it would be without the cover.
I almost dropped it to 3 stars due to this lame feature, but it IS still cute and tiny and cool, and the fact is...that's why I picked it over so many other options. :)
The transfer speed is not as blazingly fast as the more expensive USB drives, but it's faster than some of the generic drives I have used and still cheap. A good deal overall.

Tiny. You wouldn't expect so much storage from such a small package! My friends love it and think it's adorable.
The read/write speed is also very fast. A real upgrade from my old generic flash drive!

Bad memory: computer freezes.......2003-09-08
I ordered one strip of Viking DL1356 512MB for my Dell Inspiron 600m, the machine that this memory model is supposedly designed for. The DL1356 memory continuously freezes my computer. I even tried having the DL1356 installed without any other memory strips; still froze my computer.
I should have trusted the_verdugo's review.
Did not work, twice.......2003-04-04
I have bought Viking products in the past, and have not experienced any problems. However, this time I wasn't so lucky. I bought two 512MBs SIMs. The first time I received it, the machine didn't even boot up.
Tech support was very helpful (no hold time), and send me two new ones. The second time the machine booted up, but I kept getting blue screen of death (BSOD). After about 5 BSODs, I put my old memory in and called for an RMA to return the product...
