I keep my WD Passport 80 gb drive inside this at all times. I zip it up most of the way and let the USB cord hang out. The drive never has to leave this case. The case paid for itself when a tall glass full of water was knocked right into my work bag and the glass, and all its water, landed right on this case. Not only was my hard drive undamaged, it was dry to boot!
I highly recommend this case and I highly recommend leaving just the cord hanging out so you never have to remove the drive.
Exceptional case for 2.5" USB hard drive.......2007-12-28
Perfect for a 2.5" USB driven hard drive. It also has a little area in the top for cables that is separated with a mesh fabric. I recommend this for anyone who uses portable 2.5" USB hard drives.
Case Logic Hard Drive Case - A Good Buy.......2007-12-19
Case is good size for portable hard drives and similar size electronics (I use it for my Nokia N800). The case is well padded and the straps hold the item securely within. I would certainly recommend it to protect these somewhat delicate electronics during transport.

Having just purchased a Western Digital (WD) Passport external hard drive (60 GB, Silver Metal Case), I went to the WD web site to see if they sold a case. Unfortunately, WD no longer sells the case for this specific drive. I found this Case Logic case on the Amazon web site and the hard drive fits perfectly in the case. The web net that secures the USB cable inside the case is great. Overall, this is the perfect case for this model of hard drive and its USB cable.

The case is very well made. The outside shell looks and feels very durable. My 60GB Western Digital Hard Drive fits perfectly. I am happy now because my drive will be protected. I only wish I would have bought it earlier. It is cheap too.

Bought the same drive for my own PC I rebuilt 4 years ago and it is going strong so I bought another one for my husband to use in an external usb hard drive case. I've always been partial to Western digital. I would recommend this drive or 160GB but nothing 200GB or over as the technology fot those is still flawed and you might regret it.
