Terrible For The Price.......2007-12-17
The SE110 is a horrible earbud for the price. There is a very distinct lack of bass to these, they completely lack punch, and overall have a tinny sound compared to their direct predecessor - the Shure E2C. If these were in the $40 range they would be acceptable, but at $80 and compared to the competition at this price range, they're not worth considering.
The E2Cs are a far better value, especially considering that they are cheaper. The ER-6i are better than both, but are typically more expensive. I've owned the competitions' and bought these to replace a frayed-wire E2C, and wish I had bought the E2C instead of this.

A replacement for the earlier similar ($99) Shure model in which the cord got
loose after many rough sessions at the gym! This one works well, and fits better (it seems) in the ear. Not sure yet if my earlier orange foams (I bought 10 replacement pairs) will work with this pair. Hope they do!
Good, but no great.......2007-11-28
I have been using expensive earphones for the past two years and have gone through many companies trying to find the best earphones for under 200 dollars. I currently have v-moda vibes, regular ipod, super.fi 5 pros, and SE110 earphones. I have been using these earphones for about a month now and can say they are pretty good earphones. I listen to almost all types of music from pop, classical, alternative, hard-core rock, and even some techno. I mostly listen to rock, but I listen to the other genres as well.
I say these headphones are good, but not great because they are good for certain types of music. If you are into rock are hard-core rock I would not recommend them because they are a little muddy on the lows. If you are into pop or any softer genres I would recommend them because they have great sound quality.
A few other nit picks are that they fit very deep in the ear canal. I like my v-moda phones because you do not have to put them that deep and still produce great sound. These are meant to fit deeper and they create better sound isolation I would say. They feel very much like ear plugs when you put them in. If you are not comfortable putting thing deep in your ear canal these are not for you. The cord is also very thick. Some people may like this because it means its sturdy and wont break easily, but for me it makes it hard to flex and move around. I like the more flexible v-moda and super.fi 5 pros.
In sound quality these are much worse than the super.fi in all ranges of the spectrum. The super.fi are only 40 dollars more expensive and you take a huge step up in sound quality. The v-modas are worse than the SE110's in the mid and high, but much better on the low end.
If I were just to buy one pair of earphones in this price range I would definitely go with the super.fi 5 Pro's. They are the best for the money. Both the super.fi 5 pros and the SE110's have a two year warranty so you don't have to worry if they some how break on you in the next two years.
Couldn't be better.......2007-11-19
These are very good. Yes they fit tight in your ears but if you want a good sounding set of buds what do you expect? I travel alot and love the heavy cords as they are less likely to break if snagged. They are also short which is good, I clip my Ipod shuffle to my shirt pocket and they just reach my ears-perfect! I don't understand the negative comments regarding having to loop the wires over the ears, I let them hang with no problem. There is also an extension if they are to be used with a stereo or computer. A nice case for us travelers and extra foam buds was also a nice suprise, in short they couldn't be better. I bought a pair of Bose over the ear headphones prior to these and the sound quality of the buds is as good as the Bose.
Excellent Sound - Takes a bit to understand how to use.......2007-11-14
I recently purchased the SE110s as a replacement for my BOSE over the ear sound canceling headphones that broke (cheapo plastic didn't last even though they were always in their case and handled carefully).
Although I was initially frustrated with the sound, I learned from reading that I wasn't using them right. The secret is to compress the foam and insert them into the ear and hold while they expanded back to make a snug fit. Once you figure this out, the sounds is amazing.
For me, the fact that they are small and easy to carry around, plus are only 1/4 the price of the BOSE headphones, I am very happy.

This is a very nice product. My reasoning for 4 stars is that the belt clip and the video stand compete for space on the case, and the belt clip has to be screwed in which requires some stretching of the case. And the kickstand may require some adjusting to get it to stand straight and the antislip pieces might need to be moved towards the center of the stand. Otherwise the case is just as described. It's not to slick but it isn't sticky either. I'd recommend keeping an LCD screen protector under the plastic protector provided for extra insurance. The protector doesn't glare too badly though which is VERY nice. Otherwise I love this product, it slipped on well and fits like a glove. Something else that I noticed was that the clip holds well to whatever you clip it to. It stays on things well, but can be removed without unscrewing anything, it's a very nice feature.
