The headphones use sixteen millimeter drive units for a deep bass and clear treble. Sony also uses neodymium magnets which provide more energy per ounce than other conventional magnets. The PET diaphragm gives the headphones a high rigidity for minimum distortion. Finally, Sony's Acoustic Twin Turbo circuit achieves high sonic output by utilizying sound chamber and duct technology. The cord is one meter long (3.3 feet) for ample range of movement. The housing is a modern, hi-tech, black and silver metallic finish. Ok for the price.......2007-12-26
Man this earbuds are not all that great,,I mean for the price, they are ok but they sound just slightly better than the head phones that came with my Zen, I was thinking of returning, but since I deceided to purchase a new player after my Zen died,,, I'll update u on weather they have a different effect on a different player.

These earphones appear to be intrusive, but I was surprised at the comfort level. They also stay in the ear nicely without coming out, even while doing things such as working in the yard. Very nice for the price. The sound quality was much better than other headphones of similar price that I have used.

I can't remember how I found these, maybe Consumer Reports, but I'm glad I did. I can't wear the buds that came with my Zune 4. However, these Fontopias fit great and don't jam into my ear canal.
Only had them a month so I don't know about longevity, but at this price I can afford another pair when necessary. I use them every day and there have been no problems of any sort.

Great sound, ok bass, and for me these fit well into the ear. They are comfortable even after an extended period of time. The rubber pieces that inserts into the ear are soft and flexible, yet I've never had a problem with them falling out (unlike other types). They rotate, too, so you can adjust the angle of the wires coming out of the earpieces.
This is the second pair I've bought--the first lasted six or seven years, so no complaints there.
The audio quality is quite good. I'm a classically trained musician, and pretty picky. Most headphones or earbuds have distortion and frequencies that are over-emphasized. This one doesn't have those drawbacks, and sounds clear and clean. In comparison with bulky over-the-ear full headsets, these earbuds are just a little low at the bass end, but I think that is going to be the case with any earbud.

At first I had the discomfort issues that others have had, but eventually I was able to position them correctly. The sound quality is very, very nice. Way nicer than the bundled earbuds that came with my Samsung YP-T9. And, for the price, it's even worth it to try them out even though they may feel uncomfortable. It's not like you'll be out of a lot of money.

Transferring a single 300MB file just now took over five minutes -- less than 1 MB/sec. The same file transfers to my other thumb drives in about 15-20 seconds. So what in the world does "Vista Boost Certified" mean? Who does the certification? Why are consumers satisfied with nebulous language like this? They say here that "It works with USB 2.0," which means nothing at all -- every USB device ever made can technically "work" on a USB 2.0 slot. The construction feels seamless and solid, but have some patience.
