Wonderful home use headphones.......2007-12-21

These are fantastic headphones for home useage. I use them on my computer, and they work great for all tasks. The sound quality is very high quality, with meaty bass and wonderful treble. Considering the price, I am very, very pleased with these headphones. I find them very comfortable, and satisfying to use. They arent the best headphones in the world, but if you were really concerned with having the best, you wouldnt be looking at a very low priced pair of headphones. I listen to several different genres of music, and the headphones sound great for all of them, from jazz to metal, from classical to hip hop.

OK sound, terrible build quality........2007-12-07

I am not sure why I expected more from a $20 pair of headphones, but I did. I just got these a few hours ago and I could tell as soon as I took them out of the package that they are very cheaply made. They have the classic "Made in China" markings and the build quality owns up to their title.

I was looking for a decent pair of headphones to use with my Imac while my roommate practices the drum. I am no audiophile so I am not to picky about sound quality. I will mostly be using the headphones with games and movies, but also the occasional music. I tested the phones with a variety of music and the sound meets my standards. Sharp highs, quick bass response ( a little lacking though in power in the lows).

BUILD:
-Very cheap plastic
-I feel like I am going to break them
-they came with "weak" looking lines in some of the plastic
-ear fabric is paper thin
-buttons incredibly cheap and do not click in place
-inadequate 2 piece headband design.

COMFORT:
-The headband hurts the top of my head when wearing them.
-The ear padding is big enough to surround my ear and IS comfortable.
-They are very light
-the wire comes out one side and is nice

SOUND:
-a little muffled in the mids
-quick bass response but not very powerful
-highs are the perfect amount of sharp, not ear piercing

I wish I had an extra $20 or so to buy a better pair. SHould have bought the Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones or similar that look to have much better build quality.

I would not recommend these headphones.

It has really deep & strong bass.......2007-11-05

First of all, I have to say that I'm kind of a audiophile, but more of a bass-lover.

I already purchased many sets of headphones- koss, panasonic, sony, and some other unknowns or no-namers

This is definitely the best one I've purchased. I mainly bought these cans for music, gaming, and movies. There's a switch for movie/music mode. I disagree with people who said that the switch doesn't do anything! It does make some difference, especially when you play game. I play GTA and when I make an explosion, there really is some difference! When you switch to music mode, the explosion sounds like some kind of popping sound, but when you switch it to movie mode, dude, you will hear a full & deep explosion sound!

These headphones work really well on my PSP! When I play ManHunt 2, with these cans, I sometimes was shocked and scared by the surrounding screaming sound. These headphones really bring it right to you. It's like something is happening behind you. Really creepy!

Ok, I think that's it! These headphones are really great, and considering the price--some 20 bucks--it's really worth the money!

Creaking plastic :: Cheap construction.......2007-10-24

The sound is okay for the price -- hence the three stars, but something I've not seen anyone mention is that every time you move your head, you hear the plastic creaking. It's something that annoys me greatly. I usually use them at my desk while working, but if I had to move around much, it would drive me crazy. I'm probably going to spring for the Bose Triports and give them a try.

Update: I bought the Sony MDR-7506 for the office, and a whole new world has been opened up for me. I've got a set of MDR-V6's on it's way for the home office. Also, I've got the Beyer Dynamics ear pad replacements coming. I would strongly suggest spending more money and skipping these.

I already had been using an Imation 2 Gig flash drive for about six months when my wife asked me to help her find a 4 Gig one. I didn't hesitate to reccommend this one as mine has always worked flawlessly. This one's even better because of the design with the rubber case. Great product!
