Where's the Bass?.......2007-12-08
I'm a bit of an audiophile, and I imagined that these headphones would have a markedly superior frequency response to my current headphones, but they really don't. The bass on these headphones is almost non-existent. Mid and high frequencies are really tight, but the bass is strangely very attenuated, and there are no methods of changing the frequency response on them. Add that to the neck strain that you'll get after 20 minutes or so of using them, and it really seems like they were a waste of money.
Buying Koss Because All Others Break.......2007-08-10
I am tired of the headphones I have bought at RadioShack; they break quickly or stop working. I read the reviews here in Amazon that say that the Koss last and although they may be heavy, that's OK as I only use them to listen to subliminal tapes when I go to sleep. I will update this review with more info ater I receive the headphones and have used them for a while.
Well I got the headphones but because it does not come with the adapter for Stereos or MP3 player I have to go buy it %$%$%#.

These are about the best headphones you can get for the price in the 50$ dollar range.
I love these, i have had Koss, Sony, many brands and i always seem to break them in some way. My objective was to get the "sturdiest headphones" out there... Well i did that. This is when i realized that how heavy they are. They are awesome Headphones, sturdy as can be, but get ready for some HEAVY headphones..
I use them on my work computer, and they do not come with a converter for the jack on a Normal sound card (this is the reason i gave a 4*), as well as they are actually too heavy..
All in all i kept them, bought a 5$ converter, and they really sound very good, after a few hours u will have to take them off because of the weight.

Heavy, robust, perfect ............2007-08-03
First of all I am KOSS addict (for those years i owned several Koss Porta Pro, actually i still own two of them. In the past it was half-closed ones which i sold to my friend) Anyway those one 4AA, I bought around 1997. They STILL WORK at 2007 ;)
My dog get played with them, they survived several OpenAir events. Also they falled down too many times on the floor. And they STILL WORK.
Till now i never put them to servis. Not need to.
The sound of them is huge and massive, like you are standing between the 80W stereo repros. They absolutely cut you from the environment, even if your monitors are 300W PA you can still hear clear sound only in your head.
There are some minus for them, After few years the glue get older so the headcover get disassembled on the endings. This is cosmetics. The covering for ear comfor get little bit unpleasant for longer time of using (5-10hous of DJing) and it get thiner than used to. But it could be replaced by new ones.
The most disadvantage is the "weight" almost half of kilo is quite hard to handle with head, but after 10 years my neck is solid ;DDD
You know for 10 years of DJing i tested several ones and if the oldie Koss still handle and survive all the other, there is no talk about the choice for me.
For instance i tested several Sony,Technics,Sennheiser(HD25,HD25s),Stanton .... you know on the parties sometimes you just get invited and you haven't yours with you.
They all goes broken somehow, some of them are not capable to bring the real sound from the low-end mixpults. Also the repair fees of Sony or Technics is little bit high..... // Covering from the noisy environment is sometimes mission impossible for the other competitors...so finally if you have oportunity to test 4AA, try them. Design is not so important.

Sound-excellent, comfort-fair........2007-07-29
I was pleased to see these headphones are still in production. I owned a set in college, some time ago. They are every bit as good now as then. I only wish the material used as the ear cups were a bit more comfortable. They are made of a thick plastic that doesn't breathe at all. The result is ear sweat and a sticking sensation on the ears which can limit how long you can have them in operation. Most of the time this doesn't bother me, but there are other times...
They are heavy, too. This is not an issue with me. Also, be prepared to run to Radio Shack to get a cord extension since the coil is stiff and doesn't extend too far. Also, you might consider getting an adapter so the headphone can be used with a smaller plug (for an Ipod).
Don't let the negatives keep you from purchasing. I would do it all over again to enjoy the superior sound and the clarity these headphones provide.

I've only used a few USB drives, but this one is just fantastic. It is faster, better looking, and overall more solid than any I have come across. I use this as a peace of mind backup for the stuff I have on my harddrive. The transfers are super fast, and after about two months of usage it has not given me a reason to doubt it. I've heard stories, more than one, of these going through washing machines and coming out completely unscathed.

I am a biologist and a college student, so I needed something that I could feel confident taking with me that I wouldn't be afraid if it got a little wet from rain or being splashed. This product was exactly what I was looking for. I could live without the rubber neckstrap, and I have replaced it with a ring attached to a D-ring, but other than that it was perfect.

As a middle school teacher I am constantly moving files between home, school and my laptop. But this drive is fast enough for me to run everything including high res video direct from the drive on which ever computer I use.
I have several applications such as Firefox, Sunfox and Open Office installed which allow me to use my own settings and bookmarks on any PC I plug it into.
No idea about power consumption but all PCs should handle a usb drive and LED.
Drive has a nice rubber finish, but it does pick up its fair share of lint! It is tough just as described and has a nice long rubber lanyard with clip. The cover is held on by friction and is tight.
Very fast delivery and I'm very happy with it.
How Tough is Tough?.......2006-10-20
The ATP Tough drive seemed like the perfect solution to my problem. I like to keep my flash drives on my keychain, and previous flash drives always got scratched, and the cap broke off, and finally the whole thing would break off the key chain. So I was excited when I saw the Touch Drive. It's rubber coated so it doesnt scratch, and the hole for the lanyard/key ring is actually made out of the same rubber as the shell (which isn't as fragile as you would think). I've had it on my keychain for about 6 months now and the writing on it is not faded or scratched at all, and besides for the inevitable pocket lint stuck to it it looks brand new. Only bad part is the cap has no place to be attatched to when its plugged into the computer, but as long as you are careful about it, it shouldnt be a problem.
This is a very durable, fast flash drive solution from a reputable company.
