The Koss SportaPro portable headphones offer portability, flexibility, and a headband designed to be worn either atop or behind the head. Equally well suited for use at work or on a jogging trail, the SportaPro's open, foam-covered ear cups allow for ambient environmental sounds to be heard, which can be helpful in a recreational environment.

The SportaPro's weight is a mere 2.2 ounces, and the headphones boast a frequency response of 15 to 25,000 Hz, delivering (on paper, at least) quite a bit more bass than most home speakers can. Impedance is 60 ohms, with less than a 0.2 percent distortion and sensitivity of 103 dB SPL (with a 1 mW signal).

The SportaPro stereophones are collapsible and come with a carrying case, as well as both 0.125-inch and 0.25-inch jacks. Koss covers the headphones with a lifetime warranty.

These are by far the best headphones i have ever used. Agreed they look kinda awkward and arent marvelously comfortably if worn for extended periods of time, but the sounds completely makes up for all that. The bass is perfect.. great treble and mids.

My puppy chewed my old ones- so I began researching.. I didn't want to pay crazy money and from all reviews I read- these seemed best.
I don't like any that go in the ear- at all.. they are uncomfortable, fall out & give me a headache after an hour. Thought Id help people out since I wasted the time w all this research! _________________________________________________________________________
I love music- all types, and am also an exercise fiend.. I wear headphones cleaning, working out, dancing etc- so I need comfortable ones you can wear for hours, sound good, stay on & don't give you a headache.

COMFORT:
Ive had them for about a week so far and they're great for me. Very lightweight. I'm used to the ones that kind of cup your ear- but other than that- they're VERY comfortable, cushiony, they stay put, -which is AMAZING as you fitness lovers know- I can run, kickbox, lift- they stay on. (I do wear a bandana tied around them over my head though) The foam does get a little sweaty after a workout, but show me a pair that doesnt.

Sound=
Pretty good, I use them only with my Ipod.. which lets you play with the EQ. House,trance,rock,classical, etc sounds good... I like my music loud, and for ONCE I actually don't have to keep it at max level. For the price you pay the sound is great. It can be bassy, which I like anyway- but if you're looking for crystal clarity from a headphone then I would just invest in a sound system! ;')
I don't think for a sporty light headphone- you can get that amazing of sound.

Also a note- I think if youre worried about "disturbing" other people - the sound might leak thru- Im not really concerned with that but some may be.

The cord is fine- not too long where it gets caught up in things as my others did. I also really like that you can wear them over & behind the head- as well as the collapsing feature.. comes with a little case. .

I'm not an audiophile so I can't comment on the sound quality; I can only comment on the fit. I've been looking for a pair of headphones I can wear while running for a long time. Everything I've used either falls off within a minute or is just too big on me. It seems to me that headphones with no or little adjustment to size are usually designed for adult males. These Koss headphones are the only ones that can fit me. When extended, it doesn't feel snug enough at your ears (just raise the volume if this happens to you), and then tightened, it pinches my ears a bit. I'll just have to find my balance. I recommend these for runners who, like me, can't fit the bigger sized or nonadjustable headphones.

Write Protect; Write Lock Switch.......2007-05-30

This is a great product. I have the 1GB and will be getting the 2 or 4GB one soon. I love the swivel feature - I've lost caps to other drives before - and the USB 2.0 speed is decent as well. The drive works well with every OS I've tried: several Linux 2.4/2.6 distros (Gentoo, RH, Debian, and Slack based), Mac OSX, Sun Solaris, and yes, even Windows.

The clip-on mini lanyard (about 5cm long) is strong and easy to snap on and off for quick use. It uses a miniature version of the plastic clips seen on backpacks and sporting equipment. One end has a loop to put on a lanyard or keyring. Just squeeze the sides and two pieces separate easily from one another. Push the pieces back together, and there is a satisfying 'snap' letting you know this thing isn't going anywhere.

But the major selling point of this product line for me is the WRITE PROTECT SWITCH. It seems I cannot find any other brand of USB flash drive with this feature. I have a necessity for this; it is absolutely required on some systems I manage. For those in search of info on the WRITE PROTECT feature of flash drives, here is a mini-breakdown for Imation (3M) flash drives that have this feature:

original 'Swivel' line: has write protect
'Clip' line: has write protect
'Pivot' line: has write protect

'Swivel Pro' line: does NOT have write protect (who knows why they removed it?)
'Pocket' line: does NOT have write protect
'Mini' line: does NOT have write protect
'Flash Wristband' line: does NOT have write protect

I know that a small USB Memory Stick reader and memory stick (all m/s have integrated write-protect switches) would give the same benefit, but options I have seen are just too clunky and would be a bear to carry around, e.g. especially on a lanyard. This solution would also mean I would have to worry about the memory stick coming out of the reader during transport, and falling/hiding/going who-knows-where.

The only cons I can think of for this product are:
- That lint seems to get into the swivel mechanism, and is not easy to get out - they use some sort of grease in the pivot to keep it moving freely, even though the outside shell and pivot piece are plastic, not metal.
- The silvery 'covers' over the pivot/swivel pin come off after a few days' use. This does not affect operation of the drive or the pivot, IMHO just a minor cosmetic flaw. I suppose you could re-attach it/them with superglue, but I have not tried.
- It is not more available in larger capacities. Few vendors are selling the 4GB version at this time (June '07), probably due to cost. Imation's website states that they have an 8GB version, but I haven't seen it for sale anywhere yet.

Awsome little f;ash drive.......2007-05-07

I had this flash drive before but it was a one gigger. When I lost it I knew I wanted to get the same one. It is great. Small, sleek looking and I love the swivel that enables me to hide the connector and keep it clean.

Its small enough that I keep it in my pocket. Its made well and a great flash drive.

My only wish is that they would make the Imation Swivel Flash Drive in a larger size.
