Not so the Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia headphones, whose ultra-light in-the-ear design sounds great while minimizing distracting ambient noise. The closed-type construction makes the headphones a perfect fit for airline, train, or bus travel, or while dancing or skating to your own tune. The phones owe their audio performance to the extra-small 9 mm drivers and neodymium magnets fitted inside each earpiece. The drivers and magnets combine to generate high-intensity sound, with a deeper-than-expected bass response (as low as 6 Hz) and refreshingly crisp mid- and high-range tones. I've been using these for several months now and love them. The sound quality is great. The design allows them to block out much of the outside noise and they are very comfortable. High quality too.
Good bass response, missing some of the highs.......2007-12-18
As an in-ear headphone, these were fairly comfortable. They also did a good job of drowning out ambient noise. The bass response was good, but the high-end frequencies were missing. A little muddy sounding in the highs, not as crisp as a set of Bose headphones, but definitely good value for the money.

Have been disappointed in the standard iPod earbuds for both the sound quality and because I could not run without them falling out. On reflection many of the standard ear phones fell out when I jog and this is the first pair which stays in and yet is very comfortable. Good sound too,
Poorly made........2007-11-01
I had a pair of these and was very pleased with how comfortable they were compared to the ones that came with my 4th gen iPod. But the cord began showing signs of wear quite fast (about a month after I got them), and then the left ear bud suddenly fell apart. I'd never mishandled them or anything. My inexpensive Skullcandy ear buds sound just as good and have lasted much longer, and I feel like an idiot for forking over twice as much for these.

I've owned these before but had my others stolen. Excellent quality as I love bass and good balance and precision. I think for the price, these are awesome. Also, I traveled with them around the world and they are very comfortable. I even use them as ear plugs when I need to sleep in a noisy place or weed-out disruptions. Do be careful crossing streets as they take out almost all noise if you have the volume up! My favorite headphones by far, white or black!

This DVD/RW drive replaced my old drive in my HP computer. The price was right. I have had it for months and it continues to performs great. I recommend it. 16X which is faster than my original.
Problems.....needed to download drivers, call tech support.......2006-01-10
I got this drive a month ago and installed it immediately. The lightscribe feature is cool but I have had numerous problems with this drive. I have called their customer service twice already. I found the online tech support (using their chat feature) guys to be rude and useless.
First....the lightscribe feature would give an error before burning and I had to chat with the tech support person for 30 mins to get a url to update the version of Nero since the version that was shipped had some bugs. This is strange. Why would you ship a drive with a buggy software for it? They should have a note inside their box that says please download the latest version of Nero, Firmware and lightscribe software before installing the drive....sheesh. I am sure no one would buy these products if there was no internet to get the updates.
This was a real hassle.
Next...I called their tech service again when the drive would hang while burning dual layer data disks....unbelievable. Each dual layer disk costs about 5 bucks. Imagine losing 2 of those in a night. They said I need to update my firmware. I am so upset. Why can't they send an email to the registered users whenever a new firmware is available?
FYI....It takes about 28 minutes to print a lightscribe label! This is the normal burning time for any lightscribe drive.
This is the last time I am going to buy or recommend an I/O Magic product.
