Having gone through several different types of headphones, these have become my favorite. They sound great for the intended use, which for me is outdoors and while traveling on trains and airplanes. Comfortable with both types of tips but foam is better and uglier. No problems with the wire little entanglement and sound interference. Similar in-ear types headphones cost more than twice as much. They have not spend a lot of money on marketing so you don't have to pay for it, but hopefully they will not stop making them. I am surprised Apple is not marketing these, it makes the iPod sound high fidelity.

If you're looking to upgrade, these are a great deal. The sound is exceptional when one properly uses the foam sleeves, and they eliminate background noise to the point that very few things will disturb. I've heard much in my music that I had not heard with the Apple fitted earbuds (which are priced comparably to these, insultingly). These do what they're supposed to do, and I could not be happier. From tiny sounds coming through at low volume to bass coming through without distortion at high volume, these are truly hi-fi, exactly as advertised.
Bassy little buggers.......2007-07-09
When I first inserted the FS1 into my ears my first reaction was: wow! the bass! After getting over the fact that these are the bassiest canalphones I have ever tried they were really nothing special. They are pretty comfortable and provide a nice level of isolation. I assume that the FS1 would be fantastic for rap or techno but since I mostly listen to metal these were simply not for me. The bass sounds surprisingly natural considering how overwhelming it is but the mids and highs suffer at its expense.
Great bang for the buck!.......2007-06-27
Bought these to replace my Ultimate Ears super.fi 3 Studio earphones, which I hated. It was a two-handed struggle just to get the things in my ears, and I could NEVER achieve a decent fit. The foam inserts that came with them lasted all of about a day, after which I couldn't get them to hold their shape (not to mention I couldn't get them to seat in my ears well at all). And, once they were inserted, they were always falling back out.
Much to my great satisfaction, these FS1 earphones are PURE DELIGHT! They are a breeze to insert into my ears, offer a snug fit and have not once come loose on their own. I'm no audiophile, but I'm quite happy with the sound they produce. They seem to offer plenty of range and a good sound stage. Although they don't isolate as much noise as I would prefer, for the money, I've found nothing better.
Great earphones, especially for the price.......2007-05-26
I've been looking for a quality pair of earphones for a while. I ride a bike and it has been very difficult to find a good pair. I tried Sony, Sennheiser, Phillips, and a few others, but they all lacked good sound, good bass, and whenever I'm riding I can always hear the wind whistling. These are fantastic, they create a great seal in your ear and the sound is amazing. Very clear highs and mids and very good bass. I prefer the bass with the foam tips but even with the neoprene sleeves the bass is better than any other earphones I've tried, even those with "bass boost" in their description. For the money I don't think that you can beat these earphones, comfortable, great sound and great value.
