Hard drive arrived exactly as promised, on time and in good condition. Installation was fairly easy with some online help ( the instructions did not go into details for Mac) and the hard drive is working well. Very Quiet.

I upgraded my mother's old hard drive to this one. This drive is also much faster than the old drive and gave a noticeable speed boost. The drive installed without an issue. Also includes software to help with a drive upgrade.

I have had this HDD for at least a year, and it is still functioning fine. Since then, drives have dropped in price, but this was big, affordable storage at the time.
Quick reaction time, no read issues, and no noise. Realize though, that I'm just a linux user - I don't play games and need super-fast read times.

I have two hard drives running in my computer. One a Western Digital 160 gig drive and the other one was a Maxtor 40 gig. I was looking for more room and found it with Seagate. I really like the cloning feature that Seagate offers. It took no time to clone my old Maxtor drive to the Seagate. In the future, I'm buying nothing but Seagate hard drives.

Is really quiet. It comes with a software for easy instalation and with tools for the hard drive. You can access the software every time your computer starts.
If you have an older computer you can only use 130GB at first, because you'll need to download an update for your BIOS.
I a BIG hard drive. You probably think you don't need that much space, but is only a few more bucks than the 120GB.

Piece of junk.......2007-11-30
Used this 8 times over the past 5 months. Ninth time, it dies. Cannot read drive. Piece of junk. I have had trouble with this before and had to format it twice (FAT/FAT32). And now when I need to access the drive, I cannot access the drive. Piece of junk. Do yourself a favor and buy the Kingston DataTraveler II Plus. You'll thank yourself in the morning. Did I mention this is a piece of junk!
lots of space, but slow access.......2007-01-12
The Transcend JetFlash 2A - USB flash drive - 8 GB is nice for space, but I found it particularly slow. I am not using it for disc thrashing tasks like huge graphic editting or video editting or anything. I was keeping hundreds of mp3's on it for loading from one computer to another. I was surprised how slow it was with just 20 or 30 mp3 files. It's notably slower than smaller 2G drives I have. If all you need is storage, its a nice tool, but if you are at all concerned about speed, I would looke for something with better transfer performance than this.
