Ah, finally! Evolution........2007-11-30
I had an older model of the Sennheiser PC series a few years back. Unfortunately, they're not dog-resistant. I finally had the extra money to spend to replace them and man am I glad I did! The quality of these things is amazing, I hate my speakers! I've been listening to music for the past few hours that I've heard manyyy times and not until I had this headset was I able to hear a lot of the sounds in the background. It's really weird, almost like my music\ears evolved to a higher level and are picking up a lot more just through this purchase. As far as a few other reviews, I think either I have small ears or they had big ears, because they cover my ears completely. I have my TV on and I live right next to some train tracks as well, about 100-200 feet away. Usually, the train's horn drowns out anything and everything I'm listening to. I felt the train go by a few minutes ago, everything was shaking, however I heard nothing but my music! Simply putting them on, sure you can still hear stuff around you if there's a pause or silence in the sound. With music going though, I can't hear anything but. I just can't stress how happy I am to finally have a new headset. It does however fit comfortably, but loosely on my head at the smallest adjustment. So beware, it's not headbanging-friendly unless you have a big melon on your shoulders! Almost sent them flying..
Anywayssss, overall I'm very happy with this headset, quality is great.
Also exceptional directional sound for you gamers out there, very easy to pinpoint those footsteps creeping around with these!
Update:
Another thing to note, singing along while wearing this can lead to embarassment. My mom and little sister just walked in my room and were calling my name, I didn't hear them come in or saying my name, and apparently I couldn't hear myself singing either. And we all know that when you can't hear yourself, you get reallyyy loud, apparently I was nearly screaming. So, beware! *blush*

VERY VERY Comfortable. Best gaming headset I have owned yet.
Sound is a 7 to 8 (on scale of 10).
I wish the ear pieces were bigger so they were over and around ear instead of on ear.
Microphone is great.
If you are looking for a seclusion style (blocks out ambient sounds) headset. don't get these.
If you are looking for a good sounding comfortable headset at a decent price. Then you are looking at the right ones.
Garbage.......2007-07-17
Bought these through antonline, left headphone cut out the second day. According to policy, you can only return to antonline if the product came in the mail already broken. Now I have to figure out how to have the manufacturer repair it. Did I say the only reason I bought these is to replace my other head phones(the same brand) that broke the same way after 3 months?
Excellent Gaming Headset.......2007-07-13
I play a lot of computer games and only use voice communications about half of the time for games like World of Warcraft but I wanted something that would be comfy for long sessions. These gaming headphones/headset are a great purchase for me since they're very comfortable for long periods of time and have even replaced my normal headphones when I'm not using voice communications but just don't want to disturb others (or don't want to be disturbed).

I am a hard-core gamer. I have owned at least 7 different brands and styles of gaming headphones in search of one that would not wear out in a few months. I have paid as little as $15 and as much as $80 for different headsets.
Look no further for the headset of your dreams. I spend hours gaming and this headset rests very comfortably on the head. The sound quality and microphone are second to none. This headset, while a little more expensive than some is hands-down the best gaming headset on the market. It is worth every penny. I own two. one for my PC at home, and one for the laptop at the office (for working purposes only..of course. ;-) )
