The 3-line digital comb filter enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character's striped T-shirt). The 6615LDG features a 640 x 480-pixel resolution, 4:3 standard aspect ratio, 170-degree viewing angle, 16ms (millisecond) response time, 450 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and 500:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) Convenience features include a closed caption decoder, automatic channel preset, sleep timer, trilingual onscreen display (English, French, Spanish), 181-channel NTSC tuner, and V-Chip parental controls.
The top-loading slot-in DVD/CD player supports DVD-R/RW discs for video and CD-R/RW discs with your own burned mixes as well as MP3 playback. You can also scan through movies at 100x normal speed, store up to 10 bookmarks per disc for easy access at a later point, and view DVDs in slow motion, in both forward and reverse. Other DVD features include parental lock controls, picture zoom functionality, virtual surround sound, and Dolby Digital output.

Tech Talk
Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides separate connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for color information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video plug) connections. You will need a separate RCA left/right audio cable for sound.
Response Time refers specifically to LCD monitor and refers to the amount of time it takes for a liquid crystal cell to from active (black) to inactive (white) and back against to active (black). It's measured in milliseconds (ms), and the lower the number the faster the response time--translating to a smoother picture with fewer pixilated or ghosted artifacts.

I love how light it is and easy to remove the stand to put on an articulating arm-although I had to figure it out myself since the instructions didn't say how to remove it. Would definitely recommend it.

I purchased this product for my daughter. She saved for over a year and paid for it herself. After a lot of research and searching for the right price; we found this item. The picture quality is great, the sound is great and the fact that there is a built in dvd player was a plus. My daughter and I are really pleased and the price was a great deal. I would reccomend it to others.

This product is everything the reviews state - a great picture, an easy to use DVD player. What more could I ask for the bargain price? Installation and set up were as simple as "plug and play!"
NOT AS PICTURED.......2007-10-23
Beware Buyers, this product is no longer sold as pictured. It arrived swiftly from Amazon's sub contractor, in this case Electronics Express; but although the box featured the correct model ID #, the photo on the front was way different from that shown online by Amazon. I tracked this down w/both Electronics Express and Sylvania; apparently the model design has changed and the old one is no longer available. It's the first problem I've ever had w/Amazon, which I've otherwise enjoyed a 100% happy relationship with over the years. Oh and P.S., my refund was handled swiftly and efficiently. I rated the product 1 star just to get the review published (no stars; no publish).
Good TV --- until it died prematurely.......2007-10-19
Except for the sound being slightly weak, this was initially a good TV for the money. Warranty is 6 months parts and labor, 12 months parts only. Mine quit working in month 7, repair labor was estimated at $130 so I decided to junk it. This set is manufactured by the Korean corporation Funai, which apparently owns the Sylvania, Emerson, and Symphonic brand names.
