2 seperate items sent to me, both with the same problem. Niether were wired like the picture. Both sets had the same manufacturing fault; a 2 inch wire on one side and a 16 inch wire on the other.

I purchased these for use with my iPod Video at the gym. I am not super picky when it comes to sound quality, so I cannot comment much there. If you are an average user, one who isn't bothered by sound quality of $20 headphones, these will sound ok to you.
The cord on these is longer than most headphones I have used. It is almost too long for running. I find wrapping it around my iPod on my arm solves that problem. The length does come in handy when on the elliptical trainer. I like to set my iPod on the little shelf of the elliptical and watch TV shows while working out.
These come with 3 different plug sizes. I'd say I have average size ears for a female. The small ones have the most comfortable fit, but I use the large ones for a couple reasons I will explain.
These are not the best for gym use. Once I start working up a sweat, they slide out of my ear as they are a smooth silicone. Moving up a size does help, but not completely. The stay in ok on the elliptical trainer, but horrible when running. I don't care for the slippery feel of the headphones in my sweaty ears. I know you find that description sexy...LOL!
Also, if you are not sitting still, these headphones give you a horrible sound. I compare it best to putting a stethoscope in your ears and tapping on the part they check your heart with. (Highly technical terms there...LOL) Movement of the buds in your ear cause this. It is improved by moving up a size.
Overall, I would give these a 5 for casual use, and a 3 for 'sweaty' use. :o)

These headphones are very appealing on the Internet... small, pink, relatively inexpensive, eligible for free shipping, etc. But I was still skeptical because earbud-type headphones usually give me problems. But I decided to try them anyway. I was initially disappointed - when I walked with them in, the insignificant movement of the cord was amplified, because the headphones are in-ear and therefore listening to music with them in is similar to first plugging your ears and then turning on your iPod. It's hard to explain but really irritating to experience. But I wanted so badly to love them that I took the advice of another reviewer and tried swapping the silicone earpiece-wotsit for the medium size and quelle difference! Thudding-in-ear noise greatly reduced. Brilliant. I love them now - they're compact, they travel really easily, they don't budge once you have them on, they come in cute colors, the uneven J-cord thing is not that annoying at all, and oh yeah, they have very good sound quality.
Tips:
If at first you are considering sending them back, play around with the earpieces. They come with 3 different sizes.
Wear them around your neck, so that the bit that usually would go under your chin rests against the nape of your neck. (Perhaps this is how they are supposed to be worn and I was just misinformed.)
After all that - recommended.

THis swivel base stays in one position. It swings around, but goes back to the starting spot. I have to prop my TV to make it stay to the side. My 17 inch TV fits on it, but nothing larger. I would not buy it again.
