I only have one complaint about this item, it's a dust magnet! I'd suggest spraying it with anti static spray, it seems to help. Other than that, it's neat. Its got a belt clip which is also removable. I like to things about it the most, one is the screen plate. Since the ipod screen is so vulnerable to scratches and all that, it provides excellent protection, also the LCD lighting is a lot easier on the eyes when tinted blue. The apperance is nice as well and since I sleep with my ipod (thanks to apple for the sleep timer!) it's a nice feature that it glows. Overall, I like it and am considering get a pink or green one just for a change of color. Hope this helps!

I DON'T GET THE JOKE.......2007-11-15
I BOUGHT THIS MODEL # AT BEST BUY FOR $400. GOT IT HOME..WHERE'S THE S-VIDEO INPUT FOR MY DIRECTV TIVO????? YOU MEAN I HAVE TO USE THE YELLOW RCA INPUT ON THE BACK? I STILL HAVE A VCR (GASP) AND I HAVE TO PLUG IT IN ON THE BACK EDGE, BUT WHEN I DO IT TAKES PRIORITY OVER MY DIRECTV AND THERE'S NO WAY TO SELECT BETWEEN THE TWO BUT I HAVE A FIVE BAND EQ FOR THE TINY BUILT IN SPEAKERS? SO I EITHER HAVE TO BUY AN OUTBOARD SWITCH BOX OR ANY TIME I WANT TO USE MY VCR I HAVE PULL THE TV HALF THE WAY OUT OF MY CABINET AND PLUG THE VCR CABLES IN THEN PUSH TV BACK IN AND WHEN I WANT TO SEE SATELLITE I HAVE TO REPEAT THE SAME STEPS BUT UNPLUG THE VCR AND LET THE CABLES HANG OUT OVER THE FRONT OF MY CABINET (DON'T WANT THEM TO FALL BACK IN BEHIND THE CABINET CAUSING ME TO MOVE THE WHOLE CABINET TO RETRIEVE THE CABLES) . ALL THIS MOVING INVITES OPORTUNITY TO DUMP THE TV ON FLOOR DAMAGING IT. THE PICTURE? I SAT MY OLDER TOSHIBA 27" NEXT TO IT
AND THE SAMSUNG WAS A BLURY MESS COMPARED TO SAMSUNG. WHEN I PULL UP THE SATELLITE PROGRAM GUIDE THE LETTERS ARE FUZZY NO MATTER WHERE I SET THE SHARPNESS, THE THE TOSHIBA SHOWS THE LETTERS SHARP, DETAILED AND LEDGIBLE. WHEN I LISTEN TO XM RADIO ON DIRECTV YOU GET A SOLID BLACK SCREEN ON THE OLD TOSHIBA. THE SAMSUNG LOOKS LIKE THE COLORS YOU GET WHEN RECIEVE A BAD BRUISE (I CALL IT BRUISE & WHITE TV) ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SCREEN IS A VISABLE GREEN BAR RUNNING DOWN FROM TOP TO BOTTOM LIKE POOR INTERNAL SHILELDING. I'VE HAD OTHER SAMSUNG TV's THAT WERE NICE. WHO EVER'S RESPONSIBLE THIS BAD NIGHTMARE SHOULD BE DISMISSED AND NEVER ALLOWED LESS THAN 100 FEET FROM VIDEO EQUIPMENT. BY THE WAY IF I HAVEN'T MADE MY SELF CLEAR IF YOU FEEL THE NEED TO SPEND $400, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET A ROOT CANAL........SEE YOU LATER (BUT NOT ON THIS @#*&^%$)
Picture fixed, but a couple of minor design flaws.......2007-10-21
Samsung apparently has several versions of this TV within the same product line. Mine has the same model number, but does not precisely match the description on this page. The basics are the same, but the issues the other reviewers mentioned about the bowing picture appear to have been fixed because I consider the peripheral picture quality to be an advantage of this model (if you get the right edition -- I bought mine in person in Oct. 07).
But there are some flagrantly stupid design issues despite that improvement. As far as I can tell, there is no way to use the two RCA-cable inpnts at the same time. It requires you to watch only one rather than to use the remote to change back and forth like any other normal tv would. [If I'm mistaken about that, then the design flaw is in the skimpily written owner's manual.] The use of a composite cable instead to connect the DVD player seems to be the alternative, so the necessity of purchasing that kind of cable is only a minor inconvenience. My model also lacks the S-video cable input, listed on this page as a feature of this TV and a taken-for-granted feature of most TVs in this price level.
Bottom line, if you are a fan of the flat tube as I am and you still cannot accept the idea of paying two or three times as much for an HDTV, then the best thing to do is to try to see the TV in person before buying it, or write to the merchant for specific product specs if you have multiple A/V accessory devices and specific input needs. If you just want a TV with a brilliant picture, crisp sound, and slightly sleeker design for a CRT, then you should be a lot more satisfied with this product than the low ratings on this page would suggest.

If you're looking to use this TV for HD, look elsewhere. The extreme and ridiculous amount of bowing on the sides of this TV are so noticeable that I found watching it to be depressing. Fine object detail is just at an acceptable level and colors could be better.
Granted, the audio is great.
Picture quality: Awful.
Audio quality: Wonderful.
Don't spend your money on this.
Beware the flat tube!.......2007-06-28
Purchased this TV and returned it after a week. Couldn't stand the picture anymore. Overall picture was okay, but the flat tube apparently has problems. Scrolling tickers across the bottom of the screen appear to be waving in the breeze. I looked at other flat tubes when I returned it, and saw 3 more on display with the same problem. Any horizontal graphic looks curved, bowed, or slanted -- anything but straight and level. Also, very difficult to get accurate colors on this TV. Much better off to spend a little more for an LCD.
