I purchased that to my daughter, 9years old, and I can say this is a very good, fantastic metal cover for her fragil ipod, BUT when you put the ipod inside the jacket you loose your "necklace" (because the ipod's bottom must goes out). I'm also concern about the ipod "USB connection" is exposed (the jacket's bottom is opened-I just dont know why!!).

Worst TV I ever bought.......2007-11-10

Around June 2007, I bought a Philips/Magnavox 37 LCD TV, The quality is just so, After less than 5 month, the TV is dead. There is no picture.
I have bought so many TVs in the past 20 years. This is one with the shorted life.

Poor Sound System - Low Humming and Static Noise.......2007-06-02

We have the TV for 6 months now.
The persistent humming sound spoils our TV watching experience. We tried DVD and other inputs such as video games and Karaoke. The humming noise is presistent. The static noise come with HDTV programs. DVD seems to be fine.

Purchase extented warrenty if you must have this TV. By default, Magnavox only covers labor for the first 6 months, although parts are one-year under warranty.

We've had many TVs over the years. The Magnavox 37" LCD has poorest quality. We would not recommend it.

Extremely Pleased.......2007-04-13

I actually have model #37MF331D, which is the same TV in silver instead of black. I've owned mine for about 2 weeks as of the writing of this and I am very happy with it. The sound quality is impressive and the picture quality is outstanding. I looked at several TVs in the $1,000 price range (got this for $993 on sale at Sam's Club and at that time, Wal-Mart had the black one for $997) and bought this one based on the in-store experience alone. I viewed it side-by-side with a Sony Bravia and the picture was pretty darn close in brightness and clarity. I also played with the remote and couldn't believe how good it sounded in the middle of a noisy warehouse store.

One thing to keep in mind is that no matter what LCD you buy, it won't look that good when viewing analog (non-HD, non-digital signal). So don't take the plunge into flat panel LCD until you are ready to upgrade your service. We use satellite, which gives us a digital signal, so even our non-HD channels look good. And the high definition channels? Well, they're breathtaking. DVDs also look fantastic (make sure you're have a modern progressive scan DVD player, though).

Okay, so that's my glowing review of this TV.

The only negative is that it TV seems to have a little trouble displaying warm colors, especially reds. Sometimes they get a bit blocky and sometimes they're too bright. But if you jump around in the convenient color settings and even fiddle with your own custom setting, you can alrgely overcome this problem. About the only time it really stands out to me is if there's like a big red wall on screen -- then you definitely will see some blockiness. But to me it's a minor flaw in an otherwise great TV.

I highly recommend it.

Surround Sounds.......2007-04-11

This tv is the best tv I have ever purchased. Saying that it is my firts flat screen LCD TV. What is the best way to adjust or to get the best quality picture I can. When I watch Cable TV it still seems a little pixelated at times or around the edges. Also how do I hook up my surround sound? I cannot find any audio out jax anywhere. I had my surround sound hooked up to my last 20 inch tube tv by hooking it to the out audio jax in the back. Do I need a certain jack? The stock speakers are good for my room size but im used to having the bass and surround sound. Other than that this tv is amazing for the price and I plan on keeping mine for a long time. Friends and family are very envious of it.

Hard to find reviews on this model offered at Sams club so thought I would give my input. Excellent HDTV! Outstanding picture, easy set up. Have had for 2 weeks and no issues. Wife is even amazed at picture and is sold on the HD channels, the claity is amazing. DVD's look great as well even with s video cable.
Sound is great through stock speakers
Regardless of what you read Magnavox is still affiliated with Philips, Philips literature comes with the owners manual and is in the box.
