Good idea, but with the fit being so loose, the IPod rattles around and can cause the connector to become loose or even worse, damaged. Make the fit better and I would buy another for my other car in a heartbeat. The fact that you do not have access to any of the controls also makes this not the best choice for the money.

Sound quality is good.......2006-12-27

Pros - the sound quality is good, easy to set up. I liked the feature of it being in the cupholder b/c that is where the ipod would have ended up anyway.

Cons - needs a back piece to hold the ipod steady. the ipod does not fit snug so riding on a not so smooth road creates background noise from the shifting of the ipod. also, if you want to just turn the ipod on and let it play, this is fine, but don't recommend changing songs or playlists while driving.

I just noticed that you can get ipod cup holders that are not fm transmitters but seem to be a better fit for the ipod.
