Phones that are special.......2007-07-18
I have bought two of these phones on two separate occasions with the second being packed with two ear pieces and a zip case. Discontinued was the frustrating round plastic case that wanted to close while you wound the wire.
I find this efficient phone (a high 106 decibel) very good to listen to even without any amplification (yes i have an amplifier for my ipod). The sound is special since even though it is within the ear the unit is designed to sound open! This also results in a smoothness which does not fatigue the ear like those that lock into your ear drums. I have not experience any discomfort even with the amplifier which I find these do not need. I would buy a few more of these if I thought they will be discontinued (like so many things are even if they are good). I also like the way I can just pick out and instrument and listen to it without feeling like I am being forced lets say to a beat or some other sound overly in the forefront. In short it is very listenable and very smooth. Bass is not overwhelming but in it's proper deepness. If you buy these you will find these different from your other headphones and may love them like I do. The latter is the only thing I can't be absolutely sure of but the former is definitely so.

Bought this item from Amazon 2 months ago at 30.00 less than they are charging now. However, it has a bright, crisp picture and the DVD works perfectly. My large Panasonic skips and misses, but this one is smooth as can be. The picture is great! I keep it on the coffee table and use it always, instead of my 27" Phillips TV. The electric bill has gone down about $20 per month because of this. I haven't used it in the car or carried it around much, but I would have confidence in doing so. The remote works well, but have to hold it up to the light sometimes to read the small lettering until you get used to where the buttons are. I would reccommend this unit highly, just because it works so well.
Junky product and service.......2004-02-18
I bought this TV in Fall 2003. The DVD drawer never opened. After driving many miles to the nearest authorized service station, I waited TWO MONTHS while they searched for the right parts. Now it's February, I've returned the original product to Toshiba, and continue to wait for its replacement to be shipped to me. At every contact with customer service, I've met with sullen and unhelpful people. They do not stand behind their product. I hugely regret buying from this manufacturer and will never again buy from Toshiba.
